The following day, in the council meeting it was noticable the Lord Beesbury had escaped and we all agreed that he went to side with Rhaenyra.

Aegon had taken his spot at the council meeting, sitting in his father's chair, "I will be crowned no later than today, the people of the realm will witness and see that I am their king" Aegon spoke sternly, like the try king he was.

I smiled, he sounded just like a King , i thought to myself, "I'll order the Golden Cloaks to gather the people" Daemon said from his seat as the Hand.

"It will be a short ceremony, for my wife and I to be crowned, then we will need to know our allies" Aegon said.

"Dorne will be on our side, since the queen will be a Dornish woman, with their blood on the throne, they wouldn't side with Rhaenyra" I said.

"We will need to work quick for your coronation, your grace" Lord Tyland said and looked around the room for any objections but inky nods from the rest of the Lords.

Ser Criston walked in and bowed his head, "My queen, Lord Corlys has arrived" he said, I gulped, I didn't know what I was going to say to him. My mother stood up and shortly after I did too, "Apologies my Lord" they all stood up and waited for my to leave, Criston and my mother trailing behind.

"How sick is he" I asked Criston, "The Maesters said he will recover over time, my queen" I sighed and walked the halls in silence.

I reached a rood with two guard with Velaryon sigils on their armor, my father's chamber, I sighed and walked into the chamber.

I saw my father wheezing in his bed and my mother walked over to him wiping some sweat from his face, his eyes slowly opened "Rhaenys?" he asked, "And Daelora" I spoke up and his head turns to me.

I let out a shakey breath, it hurt seeing him like this but that didn't matter now, only that he was healing.

"You left me" my mother spoke softly, "Six years, I almost lost everything, my son, my daughter, our children, Corlys. And you left for a war, you knew you would loose" my mother had tears prickling her eyes.

"We needed you father, mother and I, you weren't alone in your grieve, I lost too"

"Viserys" he whispered, "Is dead and my son will be named king in the next few hours" I said sternly, he sighed.

"Is that not you wanted, for you blood to sit the iron throne? I was ten and seven when you sent me to the King's chamber, married him at ten and eight, so that you would be happy" I walked over to the bed and sat the edge.

"I did not ask for that, for any of it" I said, tears threatened to spill and my throat burned, "I'm sorry"

"Sorry?" I wanted to say something to hurt him but I haven't thought of anything, "My son will be given the crow of his name sake, Aegon the Conqueror, and his father's sword Blackfyre, now I will leave you to rest"

I walked out the room feeling hurt and confident.

I watched out the window of the royal wheelhouse as all the Gold Cloaks gather the people and sighed seeing how much poor they now were and hoped all that would change.

I turned to Aegon and Elia, Aegon's hand rested on her slightly swollen belly and I smiled, "Aegon... you look like your father would've wanted you too" I whispered.

They both looked at me and smiled, I gulped and sighed, "There is something I need to discuss with you, please sit here" I patted to the seat next to me.

"Your brothers, Aemond and Aerion, are Daemon's, not your father" I said it in one breathe, he looked shocked but didn't say anything, "Aemond nor Aerion knows about but I plan on telling them soon, very soon"

"I will not love them less, they are my brothers and will always be my brothers" he said confidently, I smiled.

"I have a gift" I said and gestured to the case on my lap, I handed the case to Aegon and watched as he slowly opened it.

"Do not toy with me mother" he said with a smile spread across his face, "I would never." He picked up the same dagger he used to cut Rhaenyra with and examined it carefully.

"Just promise me you will be a better King" I said and looked directly into his eyes and waited for him to reply, "I wasn't thinking otherwise" he replied and the wheelhouse finally stopped. "Well here we are"

I looked over to Elia and smiled lovingly at her and stepped out of the wheel house followed my Aegon then Elia whom he helped out.

We walked into the Dragonpit which was halfway full and as I walked towards the stance put up Aegon and Elia went a different way.

Current present was, Helaena and Eddard, Aemond and Aerion, Baela and Rhaena, my mother and Vaemond and finally Daeron and Daemon.

I approached Daemon and held his hand for support, he brought my knuckles to his lips and gently placed a kiss on it, I smiled and stood firmly.

Once all the people of Kingslanding was present, Daemon stepped forward and addressed everyone, we all heard the bells ringing to state that the King had died.

"People of Kingslanding, today is a sad day for us all, King Viserys, The Peaceful, has died." He spoke loud and firmly and murmurs were heard from the people.

"But it is also a joyous day, for his son Aegon had been appointed as heir long ago and will now take his place as King of the Seven Kingdoms" a smile spread across my face and I noticed Daemon had one too

The people erupted into applause and I watched as the Gold Cloaks made a path through the people for Aegon and Elia's arrival.

Trumpets blew as the Gold Cloaks drew their swords creating an arch for the future King and queen.

Aegon and Elia started to walked down the arch of sword, heads held high, "It is a great privilege to be here to witness the coronation of Aegon the Second of House Targaryen and Elia Martell of House Martell" Daemon said as Aegon and Elia finally walked up the steps of the stance.

I smiled warmly and felt tears prickle my eyes, I approached Aegon and kissed his forehead then Elia and I kissed her forehead as well, I stepped back and wiped the tear that had fallen.

I watched as Aegon and Elia knelt before the septa and bowed his head, "May the Warrior give him courage, May the Smith mend strength to his sword and shield, May the Father defend him in his need, May the Crone lift her shining lamp and light his way to wisdom" Septa rubbed an oil on Aegon's forehead and handed the crown of Aegon the Conqueror to Daemon and the crown of Visenya to me.

I let out a shakey breath as I took the crown and faced Aegon and Elia, Daemon and I slowly approached the two, "The crown of the Aegon conqueror and his sister-wife Visenya" Daemon yelled.

We gently placed the crowns on their heads, "Let the seven bare witness that Aegon Targaryen is the true heir to the iron throne" I smiled lovingly and helped Elia stand up.

"All Hail King Aegon Targaryen, Second of his Name, King of the Andals and the Rhoynar and the First Men, Lord of the Seven Kingdoms and Protector of the Realms and his wife, Queen Elia Targaryen" The septa yelled and we all bowed our heads.

They turned around facing the crowd but no one spoke, the people finally erupted into applause and hailed the King and Queen. Aegon held his wife's and drew his sword Blackfyre, the crowd grew louder and louder by the second and I leaned into Daemon and smiled.
