There were a lot that had happened this month, and it seems like for Y/N it's been a long time since it passed but in reality it is just almost two months.
Y/N has already moved into her new apartment and this time she owns it. She barely had her sleep on her first night, and had to ask the Latina to cuddle her to sleep the next day when she visited.
“I couldn't sleep. I feel like I'm homesick.”, she says snuggling closer to the Latina who just hums in return, running her fingers through her hair.
“Is there anything I can do?”, Selena softly asks.
“Just cuddle me.”, Y/N yawns. Selena running her fingers through her hair helps her fall asleep faster.
“You don't mind me sleepin'?”, it comes out a whisper.
“I don't. Just sleep, I'll be here when you wake up.”, Selena says continuing what she is doing to Y/N's hair. Sooner, Selena follows the younger to dreamland.
After a few hours, Y/N wakes up with no Selena at her sight. She slightly panics when her groggy mind sense the unfamiliarity of the room but relaxes soon after when she realizes it's her new apartment.
She stands up from the bed and goes downstairs. “Sel?”, she calls out.
“In the kitchen!”, Y/N hears. She picks up Charlotte who's circling around her feet. She purrs, snuggling into her neck.
“What are you doing?”, she yawns, seating down on a bar stool chair. Charlotte jumps off her and lays down on the floor.
“What do you think I'm doing?”, Selena asks smiling at the younger woman.
Y/N rolls her eyes. Selena is cooking, as she perceives it.
“I know I said I'll be there when you wake up but it is already quarter to one. I was thinking you'll be hungry when you wake up, so...”, Selena says dragging the last syllable. Her heart warms at the Latina's thoughtfulness.
“Thank you.”, she says.
Selena smiles, “Always.” before going back to her cooking.
Y/N watches her for awhile before Charlotte whines asking for a food as well. She sighs and gives her food before going back to her seat.
“Before I forgot...”, Selena turns around resting her back on counter near the electric stove, facing Y/N. “Do you have anywhere or anything in mind to celebrate our second month together?”, there is a moment of silence and Selena starts to panic when she receives none from the younger.
“Do you want to celebrate it? Uh-.. nevermind it's too cliché.”, she turns around and checks the food she is making, avoiding the younger brunette.
Y/N smiles at the Latina. She actually stops herself from laughing to avoid fueling Selena's insecurity. She doesn't mind celebrating it, and it's not cliché to her but rather sweet and romantic. She just didn't get to reply because her brain forgot to function and do its job to respond. In fact, Y/N is excited about it.
She gets off the bar stool and walks towards her girlfriend whose back still facing her. Y/N wraps her arms around Selena, locking her hands in the middle of her abdomen. She places a kiss on Selena's shoulder.
“I actually don't have anything yet in mind. I do want to celebrate it and many more months with you. And it's not cliché...”, Selena relaxes when she said those words.
“[...] It's you. Very you.”, Selena smiles before turning off the electric stove. She turns around to face her. She has been careful with everything when it comes to the younger woman. They had a history together, and most of it were not good. Selena doesn't want to repeat the same things that happened.
“Thank, God! I thought I scare you or something.”, Y/N laughs at her reaction.
“You didn't. I was surprised that you want that as well. I thought I was the only one.”, Y/N explains. She is really excited about it, and she doesn't care how it will go as long as they can get to spend that day together.
Selena pulls her in a kiss. Y/N kisses back with the same passion. The younger woman is enjoying it but then the Latina pulls away before it gets heated, saying that the food is ready. Y/N rolls her eyes and helps her girlfriend to prepare the untensils.
After that, Y/N has to go since Mandy called her to a meeting with her next potential project. She mentally celebrates since she was vacated for a week and half, and doing nothing bores her.
Y/N tried to help Selena with the dishes but the Latina stops her and tells her to prepare for her meeting. She kisses her before going upstairs and take a bath. To her surprise, no feline tailing behind her like Charlotte used to. In her conclusion, she was with Selena which she doesn't take a heart since she loves the two.
After that, she says goodbye to Charlotte which doesn't care, and to her girlfriend kissing her.
“You can either stay or leave and lock the door behind. I'll get you a sparekey when I get back. Please, leave Charlotte a food before you leave. And I love you.”, she says before giving her a peck in her lips.
“Go! Take care, and text me! Love you!”
Roger drives her to her agency's building. Y/N tells him, she'll message him after the meeting before making her way inside.
The meeting went smoothly. It was boring until they revealed her new project.
“No way!”, she says, cannot believe what she heard.
Mandy laughs at her reaction, “Yes way! And you'll start next week after the contract signing is done.”, the team explains to her more about this new project she got.
“They specifically asked for you or it's nothing.”, one of the staff says.
Y/N is still in denial when it comes to the sound of her name in the modelling industry. She still thinks it is because of the clout she got from her ex and the clout she gets from the people she surrounds herself and is friends with. Which is true in some part, but in reality, it's not. It is her name, now, that is in the tabloids without other names tailing it.
