Chapter 22

Y/N guides her in their way to the place, she and Selena's friends planned, since the Latina is blindfolded. She feels Selena tightens her grip on her shoulder while they walk. The younger places her hand on Selena's hand on her shoulder, caressing it. It gives Selena comfort and relaxation.

Once the two women arrives, their friends, and Selena's family get in their position. Y/N tells her girlfriend that it is okay now to take off the blindfold before stepping aside. Everyone start to sing her happy birthday, as Y/N is holding the cake for her.

Selena makes a wish and blows the candle.

There is a long table with bouquet of flowers lined in the middle, with cushions as the seats, and there are petals scattered around. It is simply decorated but aesthetically eye pleasing. The place looks peaceful and refreshing. It is near the shore, there are a lot of trees, and plants surrounding it. You can here waves, and birds chirping from the trees.

Selena hugs Y/N first after she puts down the cake, “Thank you.”, she says.

Y/N smiles, “You're welcome. But I don't want to take all the credits.” Selena then proceeds hugging her friends then family.

The servers serves the food, and they start to dig in. There are laughers, and sharing stories. Everyone is having fun. It seems like, this birthday celebration becomes their get together as well due to how busy everyone's schedule.

Selena is enjoying. She now forgets about how she doesn't want Y/N to prepare anything for her birthday.

She watches everyone while her one arm around Gracie who's hugging her side. This celebration of her birthday beats her birthday celebration in Rome last year. She had fun in Rome but this one is different. She has her.

After all of them are full, it is time for gifts. Selena opens it one by one and every gifts make her heart swell, and makes everyone laught. Because Raquelle being Raquelle gives her an underwear with full of flower prints as a joke [but it is her gift according to Raquelle].

Selena doesn't take out the other thing in the paper bag since there's seven year-old child with them.

She blushes, closing the paper bag, “Raquelle!”, Raquelle laughs. Some of them understands it right away, some not.

“You're single and that's very helpful.”, Raquelle states. Selena immediately covers Gracie's ears since the girl is just sitting next to her, and mouths a ‘fvck you’ to her friend. Everyone laughs at the interactions. Some of their phones are out, filming the interaction.

Also, with that comment from Raquelle makes everyone who were confused get it. On the other hand, Y/N doesn't and look at it. Selena tries to hide but she sees it. Y/N blushes.

After that, Raquelle gives Selena her real gift, “That's also yours, enjoy!”, Raquelle says referring to the previous gift. Selena rolls her yes and thank her either way.

Selena recieves a handmade bracelet, and a letter from her sister. “Thank you, baby.”, she says to her sister kissing her on the cheek after she read the letter.

Y/N excuses herself, together with Raquelle since she needs another hand to get her gift for her girlfriend that is in the house they rented in the place. She goes back when she gets everything. Selena have opens every gifts excepts Y/N's.

Once Selena's eyes land on Y/N's gift, she stands up and gets them. “Oh my God! Are they real?”, Selena says getting the puppies in her arms.

Everyone chuckles knowing that the two puppies in front of them are very much alive and wagging their tails.
