Selena and Y/N celebrate Christmas together with their families. Selena invites L/N's to celebrate the occasion and since she doesn't like the idea of Y/N being away, it's a good idea to do. At first, the younger woman didn't want to but in the end the Latina had convinced her.
They cuddle up on the sofa, the fireplace is the only thing that illuminates the area. Everyone has said goodnight to them after they had eaten their meals that Selena's Nana, Mandy, and M/N prepared, and exchanged their gifts. They had a little chat in the main living and after that one by one goes to their room and calls the night off.
“I love being here.”, Y/N says after a long comfortable silence, looking at the fireplace, and kisses Selena's hand she's holding. The Latina is behind her as her slender arm wraps around her mid chest.
“I see that coming.”, Selena says, kissing the back of the younger's head.
“Yeah but what I meant is LA.”, she says.
“You look up to people who lives here too much as if you can't afford a house here.”, the Latina says.
“Please refrain from calling all buildings here as house. It's a mansion.”, Selena chuckles at Y/N's words.
There ia comfortable silence. Only the fire in the chimney can be heard. Their pets are somewhere in the house sleeping, and only Charlotte is near them.
Selena looks at her phone to look at the time.
“Get off.”, Y/N obeys the Latina looking confused. Selena stands up and slips in her indoor footwear and Y/N does the same. The Latina offers a hand for her to take, and Y/N takes it without a second thought.
“I'll show you something.”, the younger of the two allows the other to tug her. Selena tugs her to the fourth floor of her house, and as usual Y/N is catching her breath when they arrive there.
“I'm out of shape. I really need to go back running.”, she says. Since the pictures happened, she barely go out unless she needs to, and that is affecting her morning routine. Although, Y/N uses her girlfriend's gym in the mansion but in her reasoning it isn't the same as what she was doing outside.
Selena chuckles, and waits for her girlfriend to have a normal breathing before gently tugging her once again. They arrive at the balcony. Y/N's mouth opens she sees the night sky.
“Wow.”, she says star gazing on the milk-like stars in the sky. It is already quarter to two and it's not surprising that milky way is in front of them.
“How do you know about this?”, Y/N can't turn her head away from the sight.
“NASA update.”, Selena says turning her gaze away from the galaxy to look at the most beautiful sight in front of her.
“This is so beautiful.”
“I know.”, the Latina says, not taking away her eyes from her girlfriend.
“Can this be captured by phone?”
“I don't know but we could try.”, they take their phone out and try to take a pictures of the night sky. Y/N adjusts the settings of her phone's camera and takes a lot of pictures, while Selena is taking her girlfriend pictures.
The younger woman doesn't know about those pictures on Selena's phone. Only when her phone dings, indicating a notification, she finds out that Selena took her a picture. The Latina posted a picture of her on her Instagram with a caption ‘my universe’, and Y/N posted a picture of the galaxy.
“You have my notification on. That's cute.”, Selena says making the younger woman glares at her but she can tell that she's blushing.
Y/N hearts the Latina's story, and Selena's phone dings.
“You have my notification on. That's cute.”, she mocks. The two women don't have notification on in any of their social media except from each other.
Unbeknownst to the two, Charlotte jumps on the marble fence of the balcony, and starts licking her body.
Selena laughs. She tucks Y/N's hair behind her ear.
“God, you're beautiful.”, Selena says, looking at her side profile. Even though they are in the dark, Y/N's still glowing.
Y/N smiles, “You're goddess.”, she says. “And stop staring.”, she adds then looks at the Latina.
“As much as you two are very sickening sweet. It's already past two and you need sleep.”, a voice says.
The two jumps, especially Y/N not expecting the seven year-old, and turns to see a very sleepy Gracie in her pajamas with a super bright screen of her phone as a light.
“Gracie! Stop showing up like that!”, Selena says.
“We'll follow later.”, the Latina says. Gracie walks away.
There is a comfortable silence between them. Selena closes the gap between them wrapping her arms around Y/N. The younger woman snuzzle her face on the Latina's neck and wrapping her arms around Selena's waist.
Y/N yawns, slightly gives a tickle on Selena's neck but she doesn't react to it.
“Let's go to sleep.”, Selena says.
The younger woman shakes her head, “Later, I want to stay like this.”, she says.
“I love you.”, Y/N says, gripping her arms around Selena.
“I love you too.”, the Latina replies, kissing crown of Y/N's head.
“As much as I find you so cute right now, it's bed time now.”, she says squeezing the hug one more time before pulling away. Y/N whines and pulls her back in. Selena has no choice but to walk back inside while still in their hugging position.
Once they arrive in their room, Y/N goes under the blanket.
“Don't leave me!”, Y/N groans, grabbing Selena's wrist.
“I'll just kill the fire downstairs.”, the younger woman let go of the Latina. Selena leaves and goes down to kill the fire in the chimney.
It doesn't take her five minutes and Selena goes back. The younger woman is in the bathroom brushing her teeth, she does the same.
After that, they go under the blanket and Y/N wraps her arm and leg on the Latina and snuzzle her face on Selena's arm. Her head isn't on the pillow but it's comfortable for her.
“Goodnight. Love you.”, Selena smiles when she sees her already sleeping but she still gets a small 'love you' from her.
