It's 28th January again. Alex just woke up.
Alex: (yawning) Please don't be the same year for the third time. Please... (sigh) I guess I'll have to find out, sooner or later.
[He opens his eyes, and sees Nicola's letter, alongside the party shirt made by Maddy, by the foot of the bed, where he left it]
Alex: So that means... I'm not looping anymore? I'm out of the tempo loop? (screaming) Yes! Yes! Yes!
Sam: (shouting from the other side of the house) Shut up! Let me sleep!
Alex: Oops. Sorry... Wait, don't celebrate yet, Alex.
[He gets out of bed, and checks the window]
Alex: No sign of a car crash anywhere. Yep, this is a new year... (screaming) Yeeeeeeeeeees! I'm free!
Sam: (shouting from the other side of the house) I will kill you, Alex!
