BAU team X Rossi!Niece!Reader

Request : BAU x teen!fem!reader where she is Rossi's niece who had moved in with him a couple years ago. The team is at a new bar that has been trending after returning for a case and Rossi is the only one not present. The team sees reader dancing with her friends and know she lied to Rossi as he had been talking about her having a movie night and sleepover at a friend's house. They scold her and take her home, making her confess what she did to Rossi.

The BAU team had been summoned to investigate a case within a small town in the country. After a few days of lifting prints, following leads, and interviewing suspects, the team was finally able to narrow down the suspect. Exhausted from the long and gruelling case but satisfied with the progress they had made, Garcia decided to suggest they visit the new bar that had been buzzing around town.

Hotch nodded his agreement and the team left in glee, finally able to get away from crime scene after crime scene. As they arrived, they immediately noticed how busy the bar seemed to be; everyone it seemed was in some kind of a good mood.

After they had been seating around a table for some time, the team noticed something peculiar; Rossi wasn't there. When Hotch asked where he had gone they suddenly remembered that Rossi had mentioned that his niece had a sleepover at a friend's house and was going to the movies that night.

Little did he know, Y/N wasn't at Sally's house. In fact, she had lied to him about where she would be spending the evening.

It had been years since Rossi's niece had come to stay with him. She had been having a tough time since her parents had died in a horrible accident when she was 12, so Rossi had taken her in. He had treated her like his own daughter, Taking care of her had become his priority and he often kept an eye on her, not wanting her to get into too much trouble and the team had all grown to care for her like their own family.

Penelope soon came back with a tray of drinks for everyone who cheered. "to solving another case and making it home" said Hotch, they all clink there drinks together smiles on their faces. "whoop go team!" exclaims Emily they all drink.

For the next few hours they have fun drinking and talking, JJ eventually drifted away to the other side where she saw two people playing darts, Emily followed her leaving Penelope and the men.

Penelope then dragged Derek to the dance floor leaving Hotch and Reid, the genius was happy to sit and read at the table, Hotch was finishing of his drink when he heard a familiar voice in the crowd of dancers.

"Hey lets get a drink" called a young female voice, the agent searched the crowd and saw someone who definitely shouldn't be there. 16 year old Y/N Rossi. She was in the middle of the dance floor, showing off her moves with a group of friends with a drink in her hand definitely not where she was supposed to be.

Hotch knew immediately what had happened. Y/N had lied to Rossi—pretending to have a movie night and sleepover at a friend's house—but instead she had snuck out to go to the bar. As Hotch was frozen Spencer realised and looked up.

When he saw his boss frozen in place he looked to where Hotch was looking and saw Y/N, he then motioned to Derek and Penelope, who then went of to find the girls. "whats up?" yells Emily over the noise, the others were confused as to why they were called back.

"it is a case? Hotch?" asks Derek this made Hotch snap out of his daze. "there isn't a case, but look over there" he yelled over the noise, Penelope, Derek, JJ and Emily all look to where Hotch was pointing.

Their mouths open in shock. "what on earth!" exclaimed Penelope while Emily and Derek were celebrating just surprised to see the usually well behaved Y/N Rossi dancing in a bar.

The team moved quickly. They didn't want to cause any trouble at the bar, and were sure Y/N had just done something foolish, so they quietly but firmly sent Derek over. The man then surprised the teen by throwing her over his shoulder.

"Hey! Derek!" exclaimed Y/N surprised to see one of her Uncles team members at the bar, she was then taken to where the rest of the team was and stood in front of Hotch the man had a disappointing look directed at her.

Y/N seemed to shrink under the glare "shiittt this wont end well will it?" she questioned making Hotch glare more, she sighs and looks at the floor

"sorry Hotch, just take me home already" she says knowing her fate, Hotch then nods and Y/N is taken to one of the cars the team used to drive to the bar.

They drove her to her uncle's house. As soon as they arrived, before she could even open the door, Rossi was there waiting for her.

His stern face, enough to make Y/N instantly regret her decision to lie. One of the team had called the Italian ahead and told him what happened.

He took her into the living room and the BAU team respectfully stayed outside and gave them some privacy.

Rossi then had a serious conversation with Y/N, letting her know that it was wrong of her to lie to him in the first place as well as the dangers that lurk in the night.

Y/N listened and apologized sincerely and vowed to never lie to her uncle again.

From then on, Rossi started to pay more attention to Y/N and the friends she hung out with in order to protect her from the potential of getting into trouble

The next day, as the team prepared to go out on a new case, Rossi was finally ready to join them. He had a big smile on his face and the team had the impression Rossi and Y/N had had a good talk.

Rossi gave Y/N a a big hug before he left and the team knew Rossi was more than just her uncle—he was a loving guardian.

The team was glad Rossi had had another chance to prove just how much he cared about her. And from now on, Y/N knew she could always talk to Rossi—even when it came to making her own decisions.
