"Radio?!" Shrieked Nattie, swerving off to the side of the road.
"Christ alive, Nat, careful."
'Hello, hello, can anyone hear? This broadcast is for any survivors out there.'
"We're survivors!" Nattie squeaked.
"Dude shut up, they can't hear you," I hissed, pushing her backwards.
'This was merely a test.'
"WHAT. What does that mean, Hae?!?"
"Dude, shut up."
'This is the CDC. The "Walking Dead" you have encountered were genetically generated experiments. The test was to see if humans would be able to survive a biological attack. If you can hear this, congratulations.'
I sat there, mouth agape for a moment. "Is this a joke?"
Kane was laughing hysterically. Spencer banging his head on the side of the van.
"What now?" Nattie vocalized what we were all wondering.
'This is the CDC, signing off.'
"Are you KIDDING me? This isn't legal! This is impossible! The US government can't attack their own citizens like that!" I was fuming.
"Do you think maybe we really were attacked and they're trying to make it seem like they have everything under control?" Nattie tapped a drumstick against her thigh, deep in thought.
"I don't know! But where do we go from here? They didn't tell us ANYTHING."
"We just keep on," Spencer sighed, voice slightly muffled due to his chin resting in his palm, "just like we always did before. We survive."
"I guess that's all we can do," I sighed, " Canada, here we come."
