I fell through the darkness onto the ground. I bit my lip and stood up, dusting myself off. I looked around, confused. Where am I? I started walking and realized I was in a cemetery. A bit spooked, I started running. I looked behind me to see that I was being chased by something... no someone, a zombie someone. I tried to scream, with out sound, and kept running. I tripped. Well, this is the end, I thought. Maybe they'll just eat me, and it'll be quick. I looked up from where I lay to see a head stone.
Haely Maria Taylor
1992-2012
No. No, no, no. I'm alive! I'm alive, aren't I?
Just then I looked up into the glossy dead eyes of, myself.
I tried to scream, but nothing came.
Help! I choked. Help me....
I awoke shaking, tears sitting on my cheeks.
"Haely? Haely whats wrong? Are you hurting?! We have painkillers, Hae-"
"Shh, S-Spence, I'm fine. Ju-just a bad dream that's all."
He looked at me skeptically, "Are you sure?"
I nodded, sitting up.
"Haely-"
"I'm fine Spencer," I hissed.
"Yowww g'morning sunshine," Nattie laughed.
" Not in the mood, Natalie." I groaned, laying back down, covering my eyes with an arm.
"Gasp, doth the lady calleth me by my God given name?"
I rolled my eyes.
"Seriously Hae, whats the deal?" Asked Kane, crawling to sit by me.
I sat up. "Just a bit stressed. And.. Hungry. Whadda we got to eat around here?"
Spencer tossed me an Individually Wrapped Something, and I caught it with my injured hand.
"Ahh..." I hissed through my teeth.
"Ah, sorry babe," he said quietly.
"What was that?" I asked tearing greedily at the packaging.
"Uh, I eh, Sorry Haely." he blushed.
I lifted an eyebrow, confused, and shook my head.
The car slowed and Nattie pulled into a parking lot.
"Where are we?" I mumbled, rubbing the sleep out of my eyes.
"Abandoned Quick Trip," Kane bubbled, "gonna go look for water. You stay here."
"Stay here?! No way! I'm going with you guys."
"Haely," Spencer sighed, " Stay here."
I rolled my eyes and cross my arms. "I'm not an infant..." I mumbled, as they grabbed guns and hopped out of the car.
"No, you're just injured," Nattie winked, hopping out of the van.

I rolled my eyes, clutching whatever this giant gun was.
'I'm not an infant' Psh. Getting hurt like the second day? Baaaaaabbyyyyy.
I laughed.
"What're you giggling about?" Kane said, nudging my arm.
"Noneya."
"Huh?"
"Noneya damn business." I purred, winking.
He rolled his eyes. "Oh shoot," He said, bringing his gun up, and taking down a member of the undead. He fell, head hitting an abandoned car, setting off the alarm.
"Aw, hell." Spencer mumbled.
I just laughed. "No bigs, come on."

My eyes widened as a zombies head hit an abandoned car, setting off the alarm. They just laughed and headed towards the store.
I sighed and rolled my eyes.
I sat, still nervously looking out the window.
Then something caught my eye.
A herd, a whole hoard of them, a roiling sea of darkness, just breaking over the horizon. Attracted by the car alarm, I'd guessed.
"No, no no." I gasped, as more undead stumbled from the dumpsters behind the store. "Come back! Come back!" I opened the van door. "Guys! Come back!"
