Nattie pulled off the road sharply and slid the van into a gravel driveway. My momentum sent my flying foward, and I probably would've gone through the windsheil, had Spence not shot his arm out in front of my chest, keeping me back, but also knocking the air out of me.
"Thanks," I said smiling awkwardly, " you can, uh, move your hand now."
Spencer looked down at his hand, that was planted firmly in the middle of my chest.
"S-sorry." He said blushing, moving his hand away.
"Ah Christ, don't make it awkward." I said smiling, rumpling his hair.
"And Nattie, what the hell?!" I said, climbing into the front passenger seat.
"You didn't seriously think that cymbals and guitars were the only ammo we were using, did you?"
"Uhh..."
"Hae," she said, placing a hand on my shoulder and turning me to face her, "We have no idea what we're dealing with here. That at the club may just have been a fluke. We need every weapon we can get."
"Wait, Nattie. Guns? Is that what you're saying?"
"That's what I'm saying."
"Nattie! Nattie,. I've never killed ANYTHING, not in my whole life! Im even a vegetarian, how-"
"Haely I think you'll find it really easy to kill these things," she mumbled, sliding out of the van.
Spencer and I follwed suit, following her up to a brick house with a single porchlight on.
"Nattie, who's house it this?"
"This is my friend Kane's house. His grandad is a World War two vet/gun collector."
"Is he just gonna let us take guns out of here?"
Nattie smiled and bit her lip.
"Hae, with Kane, I can be very persuasive."
