Chapter 2: Massacre

Fifty years later...

A brilliant beam of light erupted from the heart of the mountains, soaring towards the vast expanse of the universe, illuminating the darkness that enveloped all.

This light was so so intense that looking at it could blind anyone momentarily.

"Th-This is the breakthrough to the god realm, isn't it?"

"Who could be breaking through to the god realm? Throughout ancient times, only nine formidable beings have attained this realm who are now known as the nine mightiest gods! And now, another being is on the verge of ascending to the god realm?"

"It must be an ancient cultivator who lived in seclusion," one person speculated.

"Let's go and see," another person suggested.

Intrigued by it, people started to rush towards the source of the light, their minds racing with curiosity.

Just as people were rushing, nine gods had already rushed toward it.

One of the gods, after blindly arriving near the mountain, gazed around and said, "Why do these mountains feel so familiar? I don't know why but they are sending a shiver down in my soul."

"Aah, this is the mountain where the Dark Lord lives" another god realized.

"Is the Dark lord breaking through to the god realm?" one of the gods questioned.

"No, he has already surpassed the realm of god, it must be his disciple or someone else" another god replied.

A sudden surge of black mist emerged from the mountain, revealing a dark silhouette within it.

Dark lord!!!

"It seems some old guests have come to meet me again, huh?" the Dark Lord teased.

Looking at this figure which was the nightmare of these gods, they couldn't keep their calm and replied nervously " We were merely passing by and saw the light... we are sorry to disturb you, dark lord"

Amused by their nervousness, the Dark Lord jested, "Well then, go back to your work, or shall I send you guys back again?"

As soon as the words left his lips, all the gods swiftly retreated with their tail between their legs.

Dark lord looked back at the girl who was breaking through and thought "Her potential is really exceptional, not just anyone can break through to the realm of gods just by learning from me".

Feeling the Dark Lord's gaze upon her, Luise looked at him with a sweet smile and proudly said, "I succeeded."

Dark lord smiled back and nodded at her in acknowledgment.

"Now that you are also one of the gods... it's time for us to get married" Dark Lord playfully teased her.

Hearing this, Luise blushed and nodded shyly, keeping her face down.

Meanwhile, outside, the sky began to darken, causing panic among the inhabitants of every world and the entire universe. Every world and even the whole universe suddenly turned dark.

"Mom, what is happening? Is dark lord coming to eat us?"

Everyone was in turmoil, unsure of what was really happening.

Suddenly, eight bright lights streaked across the universe, giving a sense of security to all existence.

The Eight Gods!

If the sky fell, these gods will hold it!

Everyone kept looking at the dark sky where eight gods rushed. In front of this vast dark sky, these eight gods appeared as tiny as ants.
