"And that's the last box." I say to myself as I shove the final moving box into the foyer of my new house. Well, my families new house, but of course my mother isn't present to help me move everything in.

The minute we got to the small city of Woodsboro, California, she got a new project three states away. She's a famous Interior Designer for rich people, and instead of telling her team that she's busy, she shoves all of the small bags out of her car before racing off, telling me that she loves me as she drives away. I'm pretty sure she took the only key to the house with her, so I have no way of locking the door when I leave the house.

That's just asking to get robbed or come home to a murderer hiding in your house. Granted two murderers being in the same house is highly unlikely.

"Shut up." I mutter to my own thoughts before I start to look through the boxes, trying to figure out which room in the house they go to.

"Where do you want the couch?" The movers who are helping me with the bigger furniture ask, and I point into the living room on the right.

"In there, boys." I tell them before I start to shove the boxes into their respective rooms, taking the ones for the bedrooms upstairs. I nearly fall down the stairs because I'm not exactly the tallest or strongest girl on the block, so I had to have a few of the movers help me with the heavier boxes. In return, I help them move the rest of the furniture into the large two-story house.

The house itself is beautiful, with the outside walls being a soft grey with black trim. There's a front walkway that leads from the sidewalk to the house, and I had my favorite flowers planted along the sides of the walkway. Black Dahlia's with bushes of blood red roses in between them. I even got to place my skull shaped rocks along the path, making it even more like I imagined it'd be.

The inside is even better, with the dark hardwood flooring and deep crimson walls. Due to my mother almost never being home, she always lets me pick the color scheme while also giving me full reign in decorating it however I please. Since I'm a major horror theme lover, everything is tied to something horror movie or book related. So, basically, Halloween all year around for me.

"And then there was one." I say to myself as I sigh, watching the movers drive away after we finally finished moving everything in. I had asked them to stick around and help me move the furniture around to their designated spots, but they split because I didn't have any extra cash that I could pay them with. My mother is the one who carries cash while I prefer to carry my credit card, which is connected to my mother's money that's always overflowing due to her job.

Hey, on the bright side, you never have to get a job.

"Well, I guess that's true." I mutter as I slowly start to make my way through the house, putting everything where it belongs. I shove the bookshelves against the walls, filling them up with my various horror themed knick-knacks and books. I nail the various pictures to the walls, most of them being just myself with a select few having my mother in the picture with me. "This is going to be a long afternoon..."

By the time I finish putting everything where it belongs, it's growing dark outside with the moon starting to rise high into the night sky. It took me several minutes to move the large furniture by myself, but after a lot of cursing and struggling, I made it. I'm quite proud of what I accomplished all on my lonesome, and I celebrate by taking a much-needed break.

I head upstairs to my room, which is the large master bedroom that covers the right side of the second floor of the house. The room is a nice size with a large window and seat looking out at the front yard and street. My floor is the same dark hardwood as the rest of the house with matching dark trimming. My walls are the same deep crimson red, and I've hung up all my horror movie posters along them.
