Chapter 6: Cat and Mouse

"Ah, I feel so much better after that long hot shower." I sigh blissfully after I get dressed, deciding to put on a pair of black Chucky socks at the last minute. I ring my hair out with a towel before I throw my hair up into a messy bun.

My phone isn't ringing anymore, and that makes me part excited and part nervous. I know that no one in their right mind would even think about toying with a killer, let alone two killers, but I never said I was in my right mind.

Maybe I am crazy, maybe even a little insane, but if you survived my life, you'd be insane as well.

I grab my phone and head downstairs, noticing that it's starting to finally get dark outside. I'm in a Chucky mood, so I plan to watch the movies. The Bride of Chucky is my favorite because you can't tell me Chucky doesn't look hotter with scars. Plus, Tiffany is fucking badass, and I strive to be like her in every way.

Okay, maybe I really am insane.

As I make my way into the living room, giddy to start watching my favorite killing duo, my phone starts ringing again. I don't even have to look to know who it is, and I grin as I answer the phone.

"You're a bold little thing, aren't you?" I hear the voice ask, and I chuckle as I continue to head for the TV stand.

"Oh, you have no idea, my Ghostdaddy's. Are you outside, or do you plan to finally stop teasing me and actually come and get me?" I ask, grabbing Chucky from the stand and putting it into the DVD player. I walk over to the couch and sit down, grabbing the remote off the coffee table and turning the TV on.

"You really want to play this game, babygirl? Once we start, we aren't going to stop until we catch you." I hear as I press play on the movie, then grab my phone to head into the kitchen. Can't have a movie marathon without my popcorn and grape soda.

"Then you better come catch me, boys, because I love a good game of cat and mouse." I say before I hang up the phone. I can feel myself coming alive at the thought of being chased by the two of them, and I bubble with giddy laughter as I start to make myself popcorn as I pour my drink.

Once it's done, I take the large bowl and large cup to the living room, setting it on the coffee table. Suddenly, a loud crush is heard from upstairs, and I wickedly grin as the games finally begin. Leaving my phone on the coffee table since I will no longer be needing it, I head towards the stairs and start to walk up them.

See, this is why I would need a sacrifice to do my dirty work for me.

I check my room first since it's the first door on the right, but everything seems to be in order. That doesn't mean I'm not amateurly stupid, however. I check under the bed and in the closet, but I don't see or hear anything. With playfully narrowed eyes, I hum to myself as I move from my room to my mother's, which is rarely ever used and down the hall on the left.

I walk into the room and notice firstly that the window is open with the pale violet curtains blowing in the soft breeze. Okay, so this is where one or both of them entered, meaning that they can't be too far away.

I open the closet and walk into it, looking carefully at everything my mother stupidly owns, and there I spot a pair of shoes that definitely aren't my mothers, meaning one of them is hiding behind the hanging clothes.

Smiling and humming to myself, I walk out of the closet, closing the door behind me before moving to stand to the side of the door. I wait, holding my breath for a few seconds, and watch as the door slowly opens, me hiding behind it. I watch the black clad figure walk out of the closet, quietly closing the door behind them.

I notice this masked figure is rather tall, meaning that this is Stu while Billy is still unaccounted for. I know Billy would be harder to find, but it's still the same amount of playful fun. Stu starts to walk across the room, and I grin wickedly as I quietly follow behind him. He peeks his head out into the small hallway, most likely looking for me.
