Day 39: why you think you’ve learned more from the good or the bad

The bad things, of course. You could ward off disease with vaccines, but if you want long-term protection, you’d have to experience the discomfort of that illness. Even that wouldn’t guarantee lifetime immunization, but it’s sure to make you stronger.

Frankly, it would be much easier to learn from the good – much more convenient to learn from experiences which aren’t your own. But in those cases, we are apt to forget what we have learned, not having been hurt. And anyway, it’s a more fulfilling feeling, when you are able to do something by your own efforts.

Mas nakaka-proud sabihing, “Oy, nadapa ako. Pero eto na ulit ako, nakabangon na.”

~Sabi nila, “What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger.”

Okay!~
