Note: It doesn't matter if people don't read this. It's just my online journal. However, if you want to question and criticize my posts, feel free to do so. We might both learn from it.

Another note: tinatamad na po talaga ako, haha. So I'll just use the daily questions as writing prompts. Hindi ko na sasagutan lahat. xD

Day 161: why is it so much easier being a child, than an adult?

Rather obvious, is it not? When you’re a child, they don’t really blame you for your actions. You don’t wilfully commit mistakes; you falter because you’re young and you don’t know yet. When you call for help, when you reach out for a guiding hand, you’ll almost always find one readily.

And... in terms of studies? Don’t even get me started. I just miss the days when homework was just writing my name and learning how to tie my shoelaces.

I’m not even an adult yet, technically. Oh, boy.

Day 162: highs and lows of this month

July 2013

Highs? I’m mostly enjoying my lessons and my new friends. I got asked to come back for an interview when I took the test to write for the campus publication (I couldn’t wipe the smile off my face when I received the message. Silly me.).

And I’ve gone to my high school for a visit. It felt nice to see familiar faces smiling warmly at me.

As for the lows...

There were random days when I cried for no apparent reason. I remembered my old friends, my wrongs, the people and the chances I’ve lost. It was painful, but at the same time, the ache gave a sort of comfort.

I don’t understand, yet. Perhaps we just have to keep on moving forward.

Day 164: one thing many people don’t know about you?

I can’t say who and what I am. Haha. I’m never sure about things and feelings; I can’t even imagine the future. I’m chicken-hearted yet brave, strong willed yet fickle, wrong and right. I’m a jumbled set of contradictions.

I’d say I’m weird, but... they probably know that. They just don’t know how much.

Day 165: favorite type of music?

Anything, as long as I find meaning in it.

Day 166: have you ever had a teacher that changed your life?

Yes! And he probably changed many other people’s lives too.

Day 169: what is your life motto?

Burn. Passionately, unwaveringly, resolutely... to an end which would benefit any whom I’ll leave behind.

Day 171: one famous guy you would marry in an instance

Sherlock Holmes. Didn’t I make that clear, already?

Day 172: what kind of person attracts you?

To say ‘person’ wouldn’t be fair, I guess. I think I’m more attracted to the mind. I gravitate toward those who never cease to wonder why, who love reflecting on meanings and causes of existence. I like listening to an iron will, even if it differs with my own. I respect a fine and brilliant intellect.

Day 174: how do you think you’re going to act like in 10 years?

Much like how I do now, but there would definitely be less moping around and less tantrums.

Day 175: songs you listen to when you’re happy

-       -   Raindrops (Regina Spektor)

-       -  Baobabs (Regina Spektor)

-       -   Let it Be (The Beatles)

-       -   You Make My Dreams Come True (Hall and Oates)

-       -   Hey, Soul Sister (Train)

-       -   Drive By (Train)

-       -   Popular (from Wicked)

-       -   Rainbow Veins (Owl City)

-       -   Angels (Owl City)

Day 178: a goal you have this weekday?

Finish my concept paper, read my notes in Math and Chemistry, memorize formulas. (And get ahead with my plot sketch.)

Day 182: Why do you think people are so addicted to facebook/tumblr?

I wouldn’t know. But as I see it, I think it’s because they find a vent for their emotions. You go and post a status, or a picture, and think that someone out there will read it and perhaps understand.

“What’s on your mind?” Shout your answer out to the world, and tell them you were there. For a while. xD

Day 183: you are told you have one week left to live, how do you spend it?

I’ll spend it writing letters and saying goodbye. Don’t people just hate stories without proper closure?

Day 184: when you think of your best friend, what is your first memory? How did you meet them?

Geleni Shalaine Bello

We ‘met’ in an UPCAT review. (Such a model student, that girl. She began reviewing for college entrance tests a year before she took them!) I frankly didn’t think much of her, just “oh, another goody-two-shoes. She’s probably too preoccupied with academics. Booooring.”

Horribly unfair, considering what we have now. xD Wouldn’t trade her for the world.

Allaine Renee Contado

I don’t really remember how we met. Maybe it was really just an understanding silence where we began. And then, I began to text her and tell her my problems. I could see that she understood, that she cared. She began to do the same. She sees me now as I am, even though I don’t know what that is. And I can say that I 'know' her, too.

Day 186: have you ever made a time capsule? If yes, with who, do you remember what you put inside? If not, what would you put inside if you had to put something in right now?

Yes. It was just mine, though. I put my high school ‘memories’ inside it: little exercises that mean a lot to me, pictures, letters, origami.

I also have my Wattpad accounts. xD
