Day 35: words you live by, why do you like them
“I may not know it, but these are the moments that I’m gonna remember most. I just got to keep going... I’ve got to be strong. Just keep pushing on.” (The Climb, Miley Cyrus)
“With every step you climb another mountain; every breath is harder to believe. You make it through the pain, weather the hurricanes... You can go higher, you can go deeper; there are no boundaries above and beneath you. Break every rule ‘cause there’s nothing between you and your dream...” (No Boundaries, Kris Allen)
There. I’ve been singing those songs for four years now (graduation na kasi namin bukas, awts). And why I like them, you ask? It’s not about “how fast I get there” and not about “what’s waiting on the other side”, it’s the climb.
‘Yung isa pa pala: no boundaries. I believe in this because I am a dreamer – hanggang nangangarap pa ako, masasabi kong buhay talaga ako.
Defying Gravity!~
“I’m through with playing by the rules of someone else’s game... It’s time to try defying gravity.
I’m through accepting limits ‘because someone says they’re so. Some things I cannot change... but ‘til I try, I’ll never know.
So if you care to find me, look to the western sky! Because someone told me lately, everyone deserves the chance to fly. And if I’m flying solo, at least I’m flying FREE!
I’m flying high, defying gravity!”
