"Chalim" I called out walking into the apartment
"Babe" I called out again still no response
I put the few grocery bags on the counter before walking to the back looking for sha but, not seeing him. He didn't tell me he was going anywhere though
I went back to the kitchen grabbing my purse. I pulled out my phone , going to his contact , then pressing '📞'. The phone rang and he picked up on the third ring.
"hello" he spoke
"bae" I responded to make sure h could hear me
"wassup ma" he said confirming he can hear me
"where are you , I just got home and you not here"
I held the phone between my shoulder and ear emptying the bags of groceries with ingredients for what I was going to make for dinner .
"oh I went to go smoke with my son lefty and the guys but I'm on the way back wit pj now"
"oh okay , I was just wondering cause I didn't know , be safe and I'll see you soon "

"I love you too ma" he sounded like he was smilin
"In love ass Nigga " I heard PJ
I laughed and we said bye before handing up. I pulled out ingredients I bought and deprecated everything so that I can cook.
- 30 minutes later -
I was putting seasoning on the vegetables and flipping the chicken when the door opened and chalim and PJ walked through the door
"ouuu shot what you throwin down ri" PJ walked in looking over my shoulder
"Grilled chicken , broccoli, asparagus, rice , and curry "
