Y/n,

Your mother and I will be on a business trip for a little bit longer than half a month. Take care of yourself, and please don't get it on with Draco, you're still 14.

Love,
Dad

As I read the letter from my dad, I couldn't help but scoff and shake my head. They were going to be on a business trip for what felt like an eternity – and on my birthday.

It was the first time they wouldn't be here to celebrate with me, and I couldn't help feeling a mix of irritation and amusement at their overprotective message.

I crumpled up the letter from my dad and tossed it into the nearby bin. "They're always so overprotective," I muttered to myself, feeling a mix of irritation and amusement.

Draco's snicker came from behind, and I rolled my eyes, knowing he had read the whole thing.

"They sure know how to lay down the law, don't they?" Draco said, trying to suppress his laughter.

I crossed my arms and replied, "I'm not a kid anymore, and it's not like we're planning anything like that anyway."

Draco raised an eyebrow playfully. "Oh, so you're saying you're not tempted to have a wild, forbidden romance with me?" he teased, smirking.

I threw a pillow right at his face, "Didn't you read the letter? I'm only 14."

Draco caught the pillow and laughed, raising his hands in mock surrender. "Alright, alright, I get it," he said, still grinning. "No wild, forbidden romances for us."

"Do you want to find out how much I want to smack you right now?" I glared at him.

"Nope! Not at all, ma'am. I sincerely apologize for my irritating behavior just now, please forgive me?"

I rolled my eyes at him playfully, "I'll forgive you alright, it's not like I could actually be mad at you."

"Aw, that's cute," Draco gave me a warm smile as he leaned against the wall with his arms crossed.

I rolled my eyes, trying not to let his charming smile affect me too much. "Don't get too smug," I retorted, trying to maintain a playful tone. "You're not off the hook that easily."

Draco chuckled, his silver eyes gleaming mischievously. "Oh, come on, Y/n, you know you love me," he teased.

"I never said that," I replied, trying to sound aloof.

He smirked, "You don't have to say it, I already know."

I couldn't help but blush at his comment, feeling the warmth rise to my cheeks. "Oh, please, don't flatter yourself," I retorted, trying to hide my embarrassment with a teasing tone.

"Say, I just remembered something," Draco said, his face relaxed.

I raised an eyebrow, "What?"

"You still owe me two kisses."

My cheeks flushed even more, and I turned away quickly, "You still remember that? That was like ages ago!"

"You thought I'd forget something that important to me? Hell no, you're literally on my mind every second I'm alive."

I couldn't help but feel my heart skip a beat at Draco's words. I turned back to face him, my cheeks still flushed, but unable to hide the smile that tugged at the corners of my lips.

"Two kisses, huh?" I said, trying to sound nonchalant despite the butterflies in my stomach. "You're really keeping track, aren't you?"

"Of course," he said, taking a step closer to me. "I don't forget promises, especially not ones that involve you."

I bit my lip, feeling a mix of nerves and excitement. "Well, I guess I did promise," I said, trying to sound casual, though my heart was racing. "So, where and when do you want those kisses?"

Draco leaned in even closer, his gaze locked onto mine. "How about right here, right now?" he suggested, his voice low and full of anticipation.

Taking a deep breath, I mustered up the courage to meet Draco's gaze head-on. "Okay," I whispered, feeling a rush of adrenaline coursing through me.

In that moment, time seemed to slow down as Draco leaned in, closing the distance between us. His lips brushed gently against mine, and my heart soared as sparks seemed to ignite between us.

It was a soft, tender kiss that conveyed a world of unspoken emotions, and I couldn't help but melt into the moment.

After what felt like an eternity, Draco pulled back, his eyes searching mine for any sign of discomfort or hesitation. But all he found was a smile on my lips and a twinkle in my eyes.

"That was one," he said, his voice barely above a whisper.

I grinned, feeling my cheeks flush again. "One to go," I replied, my heart still fluttering.

Draco leaned in once more, and this time, the kiss was bolder, filled with a mix of passion and sweetness. It was a kiss that spoke of the connection we had formed, the adventures we had shared, and the promise of more to come.

Draco smiled at me as we pulled away, I quickly backed off, my heart still pounding.

"Aw, come on, we were having a moment," Draco said with a teasing look.

I rolled my eyes and huffed, "And all I know is that I don't owe you anymore kisses and I'm delighted."

"You're still terrible at lying despite being a Slytherin."

"Whatever."

--

I yawned as I dragged myself to the kitchen to get some breakfast to start off the day. Ever since my parents has been on that business trip, the mornings have been quiet, empty, and worse of all, lonely.

Draco would sometimes be here in the morning, but it's not a daily thing as his father has been quite difficult to deal with.

I guess he didn't want Draco to get too chummied up with someone forcibly marked and broken by Voldemort. Or simply because he didn't like me or something. Draco doesn't know himself.

Lost in my thoughts, I almost jumped when I heard a familiar voice behind me. "Good morning," Draco said, leaning against the kitchen counter with a playful grin.

I turned around, a blush creeping onto my cheeks as I tried to compose myself. "Morning," I replied, attempting to hide my excitement at seeing him.

"Sleep well?" Draco asked, a knowing glint in his silver eyes as he observed my flustered state.

I nodded, trying to regain my composure. "Yeah, I guess. What are you doing here so early?"

Draco shrugged casually, his playful grin still in place. "Couldn't stay away, I suppose," he replied with a wink.

I chuckled at his reply and raised an eyebrow, "That's not there is to it, am I right?"

"Fine, it's also time for your Glamour renewal with Snape and I wanted to spend some time with you."

"Then shouldn't we be, like, dashing out of the door right now? You know what happened last time we were late," I said as I pointed at the door.

"You're right, we had to endure a whole hour of his lecturing for 'wasting his time' when we were 10 minutes late last time," he said, playfully rolling his eyes. "But I couldn't resist seeing you first."

"Flattery will get you everywhere," I replied with an eyeroll.

Draco chuckled, his eyes sparkling with amusement. "Well, in that case, I'll keep the flattery coming," he said, flashing me a mischievous grin. "You look stunning, as always."

I felt my cheeks heat up at his compliment, and I couldn't help but smile back at him. "Thank you," I replied. "You don't look too bad yourself."

"Why, thank you, Y/n," he said, mockingly bowing in an exaggerated manner.

I rolled my eyes playfully, the loneliness from earlier in the morning dissipated in his presence. "Alright, alright, we should really get going," I said, glancing at the clock on the wall. "Snape won't be happy if we're late."

"Right."
