Before we know it, we were at Hogwarts again. Currently the only place Voldemort can't come in and kill us that's known.

"Y/n!" I heard a familiar voice. Turning around, I smiled as I saw Elmia. Really haven't seen her for a good while.

"Hey," I replied simply.

Elmia's eyes were concerned. "What happened? Where have you been? We were all worried sick!"

Draco chimed in, "We're fine, it's a long story and it's probably better to tell everyone at once."

"Woah, your hair..." Elmia's gaze shifted to Draco's now way-too-long-for-him hair.

"Just... trying out new things, you know?"

"So..." Blaise started, his face unreadable, "This might be the last few days we'll ever see you?"

I raised my eyebrow, "That's the part you're focused on? What about the fact that we're both technically Death Eaters?"

"We made a lot of theories when you were gone," Theo said as he chewed on an apple, "So we sorta expected that."

"And you need a haircut," Daphne laughed as she looked at Draco's hair.

Draco scoffed, "I'll consider it after everything's got taken care of."

The atmosphere was a mix of relief, curiosity, and a looming sense of impending danger. Friends gathered, questions hanging in the air, but there was an unspoken understanding that time was of the essence.

As we sat in the familiar common room, recounting the events that transpired during our absence, the reality of our situation settled in. The clock was ticking, and we were on borrowed time.

Theo leaned back, contemplating the information. "So, what's the plan now?"

"Snape said he's fixing up a plan for us to get out of here," I said, glancing at Draco.

Draco nodded, "I'm just waiting for my parent's letters before we have to go."

Blaise sighed, "Never thought we would have to go separate ways this soon in life."

"Ah.. My parents don't know anything about this," I said as I realized.

Elmia looked at me with concern, "You haven't told your parents about all this?"

I shook my head, "I've been trying to keep them out of it. They don't need to worry."

Draco added, "We'll have to send them a letter, let them know what's happening."

Theo chuckled, "Well, this will be an interesting owl post for them."

"Oh we're not telling them the truth," Draco explained, "We'll probably be 'transferred' to another school in another country since those are one of the safer places in the world."

Theo raised an eyebrow, "So, you're going with the 'new school' excuse?"

Draco smirked, "It's better than telling them we're on the run from the Dark Lord, don't you think?"

Blaise chuckled, "Fair point. At least it'll put their minds at ease, even if it's not the whole truth."

"Hopefully one day we get to come back without worry," I added with a sigh, "I'll for sure miss everyone."

Elmia gave me a sympathetic look, "We'll miss you too, Y/n. Just take care of yourselves, and don't forget to write."

Draco nodded, "We'll keep in touch, somehow. And who knows, maybe we'll be back sooner than we think."
