It's been a day since then. I doubt I'll go near another broom without Draco there, and I told him that too. But he insisted on leaving one of his brooms at my house, so I just let him be.
He also said he'll probably be back soon since he has nothing to do anyway. He never told be how soon, though I did ask, but he just said "Soon enough."
But all I remember now is how much he smiled yesterday. I couldn't stop smiling yesterday when I saw it, and now I also can't stop smiling at the thought.
"I told you that you like him!" Elmia said out of nowhere, snapping me out of my thoughts.
I blushed and pushed her, "Shut up, I don't even know for sure yet."
"Oh trust me, I know how it works. You're totally in love," She snickered as she grinned at me.
"I wouldn't say love, we've been nothing but friends!"
Elmia's eyes narrowed in amusement but eventually shrugged, "Whatever you wanna think."
I rolled my eyes, "Enough talk about me, let's talk about you."
She raised her eyebrows, "What's there to say about me?"
"You and Harry," I paused to analyze her face, "You two a thing?"
"Pfft," She started laughing, "You're funny, you know that? I'd very much rather date a Weasley than him. We're just friends."
"Draco said you two seemed awfully close yesterday when he walked past you," I tested her some more.
"He's being a drama queen, we were like a whole yard away from each other!"
"Well, I sure hope so. I'd be mad if you two kept it from me in my own house," I laughed.
She laughed with me for a bit and her face was emotionless again, "But, I do think we have a problem."
"Hm? And what's that?"
She sat up and looked me in the eye and waited a few seconds before speaking, "I think I like a Weasley."
"Oh hell..." I looked at her with widened eyes, "Which one? Cause if it's Ron Weasley I will chuck down a whole flask of Forgetfulness Potion down your throat."
"That's a great plan to have but no, not him. It's... well, now that I think about it, it's not so bad... It's Fred. Fred Weasley, one of the twins."
I let out a sigh of relief, "Thank god it's at least someone I don't mind." I then smirked, "So you've got the hots for one of the Weasley twins, what now?"
Elmia blushed, "Don't say it like that! But I was thinking... double da--"
"How did you tell those two apart? Are you sure you're not crushing over George instead?" I interrupted the second I realized what she was going to suggest. If I got two mini-dates with Draco in two days I might actually go crazy.
"I don't know, but I just do. They were surprised too, said something about how not even their own mom can tell them apart," She shrugged. I narrowed my eyes and looked at her for a few more seconds before shaking it off.
"Can't wait to spill that tea to everyone else," I muttered and got a pillow thrown at my head as a response. Where does this girl even get that many pillows to throw at me?
--
"Fuck." I looked down at the broken vase I bumped into when running from Draco chasing me after I .
"Oh shit, don't tell me that's your mother's favorite vase," Draco stood behind me, looking at the shattered opaque vase before me.
"Unfortunately it is," I said as I squatted down and picked up a piece, "And it's limited edition too."
"I'm so sorry, I would use magic but..." Draco said, his voice trailing off, "Look, just blame it on me, it is my fault to begin with."
"No, it's fine, it was me who knocked it off the stand. They'll be mad, sure, but they can use magic. It'll be as good as new," I gave him a smile as I stood up.
"You sure? Don't want you to get in trouble," He looked me in the eye with an apologetic look with a barely noticeable pout, I refrained myself from blushing at the sight and looked at the broken pieces again.
"Best if we pick those up, yeah?" Draco said as his hands reached towards the opaque.
"Yeah," I smiled to myself as we picked up the broken pieces together.
