"Let's ditch."

"What?" I looked at Draco in bewilderment.

"You heard me," He gave me a small smirk, "Let's ditch." He held out his hand to me.

I smiled and took his hand, "Yeah, let's ditch." Draco took me out of the busy Hall and I felt relieved to be out of a bunch of people's faces.

"I noticed how you weren't exactly comfortable," Draco gave me a shrug as he kept walking without letting go of my hand or even turning around to look at me. "So I thought I should take you out for some fresh air."

"That's sweet, thanks," I smiled.

We arrived at the Black Lake and sat down on the grass besides it and just enjoyed the quietness for a bit before either of us spoke.

"You just realized that we sort of just ditched the only Yule Ball we might be going to in our whole life?" I asked as I slightly turned to look at him. Surprisingly, he was already looking.

"Yeah, it's not that big of a deal, theres tons of formal dances at the Malfoy Manor all the time. I won't miss it." He gave me a small smile, "And it was for you, it's worth it."

"We can go back if you want, we don't have to do whatever I say," he added.

Seeing him say that with his black velvet tuxedo jacket half off made me have knots in my stomach. His hair was nearly completely out of place and he looked so relaxed.

"Fuck it," I inaudibly muttered to myself and pulled myself close to him. He gave me a shocked but amused look and practically waited for me to continue.

I pressed my lips onto his hurriedly before I change my mind or run away. He smirked into the kiss as he kissed me back and held my face gently with his hands.

We pulled away from each other and just looked into each other's eyes before we leaned in and did the exact same thing again.

"That," Draco said as he paused to reimagined our make-out scene, "Was hot. Didn't know you had it in you. You know, since I'm usually the one giving the kisses willingly?"

"Yeah, yeah, whatever," I rolled my eyes with a defeated smile.

"Miss Potter." I looked into the eyes of Professor McGonagall.

"Yes?"

"May I speak to you in my classroom privately?" She gestured me inside as she pushed opened the door. I followed as I knew it wasn't exactly a question or request.

"What's this for? I do have to go back to the Slytherin Common Rooms, it's quite late," I nodded towards the window.

McGonagall gave me a small smile, "Oh don't worry about that, I made arrangements with Filch." She stepped closer to me and whispered, "I'm sorry."

Before I could give her any sort of response, I blacked out.

Draco POV

I paced back and forth in the common room, it's pretty late. Where's Y/n? She should be here by now. She hasn't been out this late alone before. Did something happen? Did a werewolf eat her up?

I panicked and ran out of the common rooms and into the dungeon corridors. I turned right and left. There's no sign of her and it's almost past curfew. Oh no, did Filch get to her? What if she fell in a random magical hole and can't get out?

"Fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck!" I started running up the stairs.

I ran into the Great Hall and looked for at least a shadow. Nope, nothing. I tried the courtyard. Nothing. I took a quick glance at the nightsky outside.

It's past curfew.

I bursted into the Transfiguration Classroom in a hurry. I closed the door and slid down leaning on it. I looked around, expecting an empty classroom. I was wrong.

"Professor..." I said out of shock, "I..."

My eyes then trailed to Y/n's still body on a desk. "Y/n..."

"Don't worry, she's alive. I need her for the Second Task. Please don't publicize this information, Mr. Malfoy." McGonagall said in a stern voice. It wasn't a request.

"Yes, Ma'am," I replied quietly.

McGonagall then gave me a nod towards the door, "Well, go on now." The corner of my mouth slightly twitched as I nodded and left the room after stealing a glance at Y/n.

She looked so beautiful even when she's unconcious. I couldn't wait for the Second Task to just be over with so I can be by her side again. I snuck my way back into the Slytherin Common Rooms as quickly and quietly as I could.

I sighed as I walked into my room and closed the door. Tomorrow is the day of the Second Task. What could they possibly need Y/n for?

I laid down on my barely made bed and looked out the starry nightsky. The night was silent and the stars were just as bright as before.

But I felt so empty, I couldn't think about anything but Y/n. Questions like "Is she going to be okay" and "What if McGonagall lied and just killed her" kept ringing my head.

I closed my eyes and imagined Y/n in front of me since I won't be able to see her for a whole damn day thanks to this stupid Triwizard Tournament. I smiled to myself as I imagined Y/n's laughter and smile in my head.

A memory of Y/n in the summer replayed in my mind before I even realized it. Y/n's bright smile shined as she ran through the large garden. I just stood on the side, admiring her, I didn't even give a fuck about the plants.

I was trying so hard to narrow down my smile to not make things so obvious, but it was no use. It's hard to just not see someone who usually doesn't even smile genuinely smile wide and big.

"Is that a wide smile I see?" She asked as she ran over.

I turned away and shook my head, "No, you're seeing things."

She shifted herself so that she's in front of me again. Cute. She stepped a bet closer, "If you're not going to tell me, I'll tell you, I'm not a wussy."

I smirked, "Yeah you are, just yesterday you were squeezing my waist so hard on my broomstick when we were flying."

Her cheeks flashed pink, "T-That's not the point!"

"What's the point then?" I bent down slightly as I tucked my left hand in my pocket.

She quickly looked away, "The point is that I was literally about to confess my feelings to you."

I straightened up quickly and turned away to hide my blush. I have to say, I didn't expect that she's going to tell me before I tell her.

Oh well, just gotta beat her to it.

I quickly turned back to make eye contact with her.

"I like you," We said it at the same time. Our eyes widened and she broke off to a laugh.

"That was hilarious, the way we said it together like we planned it," She said as she continued laughing.

It was even harder to resist smiling that time.
