Still Draco POV

"Here's your stupid potion," Blaise handed me the completed potion with an annoyed expression.

"Thanks," I muttered as I looked down at the potion in my hand. Blaise huffed and walked off, leaving me alone in the library.

I watched Blaise's retreating figure for a moment before turning my attention back to the potion in my hand. The vial held a deep blue liquid, shimmering slightly under the soft library light.

With a sigh, I pocketed the vial carefully and left the library, my footsteps echoing in the quiet corridor. As I walked through the castle's familiar halls, my thoughts returned to Y/n.

What would really happen if Crouch never got to do what he was ordered to? Will Y/n be safe? Will the whole Dark Mark incident just disappear?

Reaching the common room, I found it dimly lit, with only a few students scattered around, engaged in their own activities. I decided to take a seat by the fire, gazing into the dancing flames as my mind continued to wrestle with the dilemma.

The fire crackled softly, casting flickering shadows on the walls. My thoughts drifted between the potential outcomes of using the potion and the risks that it might entail. What if it didn't work as intended? What if it led to to something worse?

As I stared into the fire, lost in my thoughts, the common room door creaked open. I turned my head to see Y/n walking in, her expression a mixture of determination and concern. She noticed me sitting by the fire and made her way over.

"Hey," she said softly, taking a seat beside me.

I offered her a small smile. "Hey."

"Blaise told me you were in the library earlier. Is everything okay?"

I huffed, "He still cares?"

Y/n gave me a quizzical look, her eyebrows furrowing slightly. "Of course he cares. We all do."

"He's still upset about last night," I stated as I looked at her skeptically, "There's no way he'd back off on that this soon, I know him. He's one of the most stubborn bastards I've ever met."

Y/n rolled her eyes, "Fine, you got me, I just saw Blaise coming out of the library and made it up, alright?"

I couldn't help but chuckle at Y/n's confession. "Still that bad at lying, huh?"

Y/n grinned, her cheeks slightly flushed. "Yeah, well, some skills are just not in my repertoire."

I smirked, leaning a bit closer. "Well, lucky for you, I happen to like your honesty."

Her smile widened, and for a moment, the weight of my worries felt a little lighter. "So, about this," she said as she slipped the vial right out of my pocket, "Is it something related to what you and Blaise were discussing earlier?"

I blinked in surprise as Y/n casually took the vial from my pocket. "Hey, careful with that," I said, half concerned about the potion and half amused by her audacity.

I reached to retrieve the vial back but Y/n quickly got it out of my way. I grunted, "Quite the kleptomaniac, are you? Is that a new skill you're building? I have to admit, you're pretty good."

Y/n chuckled softly, still holding the vial out of my reach. "Oh, come on, Draco. I just want to take a look. You know I'm not going to break it or anything."

I leaned back, a playful glint in my eyes. "Oh, I know you won't break it. But knowing you, you might accidentally spill it on yourself."

"I'm not that clumsy or dumb."
