A fight, a surprise, and an excited Tony Stank

I stared at the corner where the hallway broke. I could hear the chimera's roars; they echoed throughout the hallways. I forced the water out of the pipes and through the walls, roof, and floor. I collected it behind me in a huge thick barrier so as the chimera wouldn't be able to pass me.
I saw it's hoof first, then the other hoof, soon its body was visible, and it turned to look at me. It growled and lowered its head. Its tail that was of a snake, moved from side to side as an angry cat would move its tail.

"Hello old friend." I greeted it with a cocky smile. I received a growl as a greeting. I nodded. "It's good to see you too." I spoke. I thrust my hand forward and the water behind me moved with it, though the water did not stop where my hand stopped, it kept moving forwards at an amazing speed towards the chimera. Fire lit up the water and vapor emerged in the hallway when the fire contacted the water. Another stream of fire came from its mouth, but this time it broke through the water. I commanded the barrier behind me to appear in front of me to protect me from the fire. I had no sword to fight it with, so I would have to live with this. I stepped back threw the water at the monster. It roared out in anguish as it was choked by the water. I turned around and ran as fast as I could, down the hallway. My heart was in my throat as I ran. It had been a long time since I had fought properly. And this wasn't even properly, I didn't have my sword. I needed it, but there was no way for me to get it now. I ran through a pair of doors and appeared in a big room. I had been here before, this was where I was walking when I arrived, which meant that there were doors to my left a bit further down that led me outside, or I could take the easy option and jump through the windows, but I didn't really feel like being covered in glass all over at this moment.

I looked over my shoulder then sat in a sprint towards the doors down in the other end of the room. I flinched when a door hit the windows loudly and the glass rumbled. A loud roar rang out in the room. I grabbed the door handle and pulled the door open then quickly ran outside. My feet pounded against the ground, and I was quick to go down the stairs. I looked around, now I was outside, but I couldn't see the Avengers. Where were they? Had they gone out another way? A window shattered and I looked up. The chimera had jumped out of it and landed on the ground up the stairs.

I turned and ran as fast as I could out to the grass area. There I stopped and faced the monster. I could feel a lake close by to my right. I thrust out my hand and grasped the air. I then pulled my hand back and watched as the water flew fast towards me. I pushed my hand forward towards the chimera, and the water flew in a soft bow around me and towards the fire breathing creature. It roared and breathed fire at the water. I frowned and tried to get the water down its throat so it was unable to breathe fire and I might get lucky to choke it to death.

"Come on, come on, come on." I whispered to myself. A drop of sweat trickled down my temple. I watched as the water slowly began turning to vapor. I couldn't keep this up, this wasn't going to work. Last time I had killed the chimera with my sword, but I didn't have it now, so that was not an option. I had no way to kill it other than using my powers. I could always try to fight it with my bare hands, but that didn't sound tempting either. Why did the Avengers also have to send Nathan back to Manchester? It was stupid. I needed him right now. He could fight this monster on close hold. Of course, I could too, but I didn't think I'd get lucky if I did that.

The chimera threw itself forward towards me, I jumped back and shot water in its head. It hissed angrily at me and bit out after me. I avoided it and ran a few steps back. There was no way of me killing it, only if I used my powers, but at this moment I couldn't think of a way to kill it with water, because if I tried to choke it, it would just vaporize the water.
