A quest - I'm screwed - I'm even more screwed

"He what?" A light voice exclaimed.

Another voice sighed, "I told you already. He lit the stables on fire and hurt multiple pegasi and demigods."

The blonde girl pinched the bridge of her nose and closed her eyes, "I can't believe it." She muttered.

"Me too," the male said. "I can't believe he just did it without a look of hurt or regret on his face- "

"No, I meant I can't believe that it could be something Percy would do." Annabeth corrected Matteo.

Matteo huffed and crossed his arms.

"You weren't even there," Annabeth said. "You were with me in New Rome." She looked at him.

"I know, but I don't trust him." He reasoned.

"Matteo... Percy's fatal flaw is personal loyalty, he'd never turn his back on Camp Half-Blood like this, he loves this place, even though he might not admit it." Her boyfriend looked at her and opened his mouth but stopped, then slowly nodded.

"So, what now?" He asked.

"Now... We find Percy." Annabeth smirked.

The tip of a trident cut through the image of Annabeth and Matteo and split the world in two. I stumbled back as the black abyss surrounded me. I shielded my eyes from a sudden light erupting. Soon I found myself at the bottom of the ocean and a man wearing Bermuda shorts and a Hawaiian shirt looked at me with a trident in his hand.

"Finally," he breathed. "I've spent years trying to reach you, my son." Poseidon smiled and walked over to me, his trident disappeared in his hand, and he engulfed me in a hug. I wrapped my arms around him with a smile on my face.

Poseidon drew back and held me out before him, his sea green eyes shone with pride. "You've changed so much." He breathed.

I grinned, "Not that much."

"Your hair has gotten longer," he commented.

I rolled my eyes. "It's not that long..."

"But it's different from last time I saw you. You also seem more... mature?" He tilted his head. "How have you been, my son?" His voice was as smooth as the water gliding against the sand.

"I..." I swallowed, it felt as if someone was squeezing my heart. I felt pressure behind my eyes. It had been so long since I had seen my father. Last time I had seen him, was after Apollo turned into a God again. It had been my birthday and he had brought a present for me. "It's been hard... but I've managed with the help of Big Bear and Nathan."

"Ah," nodded Poseidon, "That is correct. Nathan is a son of Apollo, correct?"

I nodded, "Yeah, he is."

"And Big Bear... Hunter is his name, if I remember correctly?" the God tilted his head.
"Yeah, though he hates when people call him that as he thinks he sounds weak then." I shrugged.

"He's a legacy of Ares..." muttered my father to himself and stared off into the distance, then his eyes focused back on me.

"Why have you contacted me, dad?" I asked.

"I heard Chiron had banished you from Camp?" he asked.

My shoulders slumped. I wasn't exactly a fan of that. "Do you believe them?" I asked, almost too afraid of the answer I'd get.
