How come life could be so fantastic. One day, you're screaming, jumping, laughing out of pure joy and laughter. The next day, everything could burn your soul. To the point when you wonder why you're still here. Why you deserved to be on this world. Or what you did to deserve this kind of treatment.

I awoke in a bedroom that was not mine from my previous "home". All of a sudden, I heard a knock on the door and I yelled, "Go head and come on in!" My mother came in with Michael. Michael standing behind her with a gentle smile on his face.

"Hey mom, I have a hunch, but am I in your house?" I asked her calmly.

"How did you know that sweetheart?" She inquired.

"Oh, it was fairly obvious, you mentioned absolutely loving the smell of lavender, stating that it calmed you. That it meant purity, silence, devotion, serenity, grace, and calmness. All of those that you wanted to have when you were younger." I smiled at the memory.

She did as well.

"Yes, I do remember that."

"So, is my stepmom incredibly angered."

"Yes, very much so sweetheart. She hates you even more than she did before. Which I personally thought wasn't possible. Not to mention, we could not bring you to your old house due to the fact that the memories there weren't all too good. I can imagine. So we decided that it was best to let you rest here for a good while. Michael even carried you back in so you wouldn't have to wake up."

After hearing that, I smiled at Michael, and he smiled back. He didn't have to do that, but he did that just because he could.

"Mom, I understand that we all were unsafe because of my stepmother, but now that she has gone to jail, do you think that we are now safe?" I ponder.

"I sincerely hope so, sweetheart. But let me have you know, it was quite difficult to carry you on a wheel chair and successfully get you onto the bed without hurting you. At least that's what Michael claims."

I glared at him, but he was giggling, and so was my mom. Even though, it was offensive to me, I still laughed and at the end all of us were in fits of laughter.

"Ok, but in all seriousness, the big question, ready? Well, what are we doing today?" I wondered aloud.

"Why not watch a movie, I mean, we don't have that much to do today. Unless anyone else has a better idea?" Michael challenged.

"I mean, why not go to the doc, we're not going to go in the water because of May's injury, but other than that, we could have a picnic too! Just another suggestion."

"Yeah, but wouldn't be kind of crowded today because it's really sunny out. May might feel left out." Michael said.

"Stop that Michael, I'll be fine. But today is kind of like a Netflix and ice cream day. I'm sorry mom if I offended you." I apologized.

"No need sweetheart. Either one of those ideas were good." My mother smiled.

I nodded and heaved myself off of the bed. Michael grabbing my wheelchair and helping me slowly adjust to the chair. I feel useless, everyone has to do something for me, not the other way around. I at least want to do something that could help them. Or at least not be a nuisance to others.
