Kim Seulhyun was a maidservant working in the Southern Kingdom who dedicated her whole life to the kingdom. One afternoon, after finishing her daily chores, she was ordered by her tutor to leave the kingdom she once loved and head to where the seven...

SILENCE ENVELOPED the two ladies as they stared at each other, stunned by their own conclusion. There could be a possibility of King Aspian being spelled by someone, but then he is a king. Who would dare to mess with a king? Eve scratched her head, afraid to say her opinions on the matter.
In that moment, Seulhyun heard her dragon roaring outside the tent, followed by terrified yells and screams. She hastily headed to her dragon and raised her brow, questioning him. Once she realized it was just a sound he made after stretching, she smiled and rubbed his thick coating.
"Seulhyun!" The said girl spun around and saw Mrs. Kang. She was wearing a proud look on her face as a small smile grew on her lips. "I can't believe you did that." She said as she engulfed her in a hug. Seulhyun chuckled, "I can't believe it as well."
Recalling the assumption, her and Evelyn had made inside the tent, she pulled herself away from the hug and held Mrs. Kang's shoulders. "Mrs. Kang," The solemnity in her voice alerted the lady, "do you know the exact color of King Aspian's eyes?" She inquired. "Oh, that's an easy question. It's bright blue."
Just like before, Seulhyun felt her heart drop. Meanwhile Mrs. Kang continued, "The Southern Royal family are all known for their distinctive blue eyes." "Mrs. Kang." Seulhyun stopped her before she could go on and gulped, "What potion can leave a yellow hue in your iris?"
By the peculiar question, Mrs. Kang frowned. "The hypnosis potion. Why do you ask?" She questioned back.
"Didn't you notice King Aspian cyan eyes?" The brunette lowered her voice, glancing around their surrounding since she wanted to keep the information confidential. Mrs. Kang's eyes widened at her question and realization hit her. Seulhyun nodded her head slowly, giving her the "exactly" look.
"But that's not possible- I've never let anyone go into my brewery except for you. Besides, no one understands the potions I've made since I never label them." Mrs. Kang told which Seulhyun hummed to. Mrs. Kang gasped, "Could it be one of the higher-ups did it?!" Her voice hushed as a group of knights walked past them.
Seulhyun tilted her head. But Mrs. Kang already holds one of the highest hierarchies within the castle's staff. The only people who are above her is the steward and the royalties. However, the steward has no access to the keys to Mrs. Kang's brewery as it is a secret only her and the royal family knows of. Which means..
"It's either the princess or the prince who had done this." Mrs. Kang concluded as if she was reading her trail of thoughts.
Both of them sighed deeply. The situation had gotten worse now. How will they bring up this topic to the seven brothers? Seulhyun felt her brain knotted and pursed her lips—this was beginning to tire her. Mrs. Kang patted her shoulders and sent her a reassuring smile. "We'll manage."
"You just need to bring this up to King Jungwon. Meanwhile, I'll brew a potion to fix our king." She said and Seulhyun nodded. "Alright."
Mrs. Kang left her and entered her tent while Seulhyun looked around aimlessly. Is now a good time to tell the king? She searched for King Jungwon's whereabouts and found him sharing an intimate moment with Haeyul as he lied down on top of her friend's lap while they chattered together.
Seulhyun tapped her feet to the ground, suddenly feeling out of place. "Yeah, maybe not now.." She quietly backed away from where the lovely couple were sitting.
Her chocolate-colored hair swayed in the air once she pulled her bun out, feeling the weight of her hair pull her down. She let it be as she roamed the perimeter, thinking of ways to approach the situation to Jungwon later. Although she has gotten close to Haeyul over the months, Jungwon was a completely different story. She does not know the King well enough to talk casually to him and his cold persona doesn't help at all.
How on earth will she even approach him? Should she relay the news to Haeyul so that she can tell Jungwon? Or should she just make Mrs. Kang tell the news to him?
She abruptly stopped which caused a firm figure to collide with hers. She yelped as she stumbled forward and stabilized herself. Her eyes shot up to the standing prince in front of her.
"Why did you bump into me?" She exasperatedly asked. Niki shrugged, "You were the one who stopped so suddenly." He retorted. Seulhyun's brows pulled into a line. Why is he everywhere?
"Maybe because we've been spending more time together these days." Niki answered, causing surprise to mask Seulhyun's face. "What?" Niki questioned, finding her reaction weird.
"I- I didn't say anything- so how did you-" She stammered, wondering whether she had mistakenly said her thoughts out loud. Did she accidentally talk about the situation with King Aspian out loud too? She hoped not.
Niki halted as he realized what he had just done. Oh no. Is she going to find about the mind reading abilities the main royal family holds? Oh shit. That isn't good. His eyes darted the area, searching for excuses he can use.
"Did you-" Seulhyun pointed her finger at him.
"I didn't!" Niki quickly shut down. He didn't read her mind.
Niki saw Seulhyun relaxed. "Oh." He didn't hear her talking about King Aspian. Her lips curled upwards, "Great!" She exclaimed, satisfied with his answer. Little did they know, there had been a minor misunderstanding between their exchange but nonetheless, both of them were happy with how they dealt with the so-called 'crisis'.
The prince cleared his throat awkwardly and pointed at nowhere, "I..have something to do over there so..." He made up an excuse.
"Oh, right!" Seulhyun clapped and motioned him to go.
After the prince left, the brunette let out a long exhale.
"Wow, that was close."
"That was close."
