"SEULHYUN!!"
At the mention of her name, the vampire spun around to meet the owner of the voice. Elena ran towards her, their bodies immediately crashing as the taller of the two stabilized the impact. "What's going on?""What happened between you and Prince Niki?" She bluntly asked, catching the girl off guard. "Everyone is talking about the both of you!" Her excitement didn't manage to spread to Seulhyun as the said girl looked at her friend curiously. "What do you mean? Why would they be talking about us?"
Elena wrapped her hands around Seulhyun's arm as the both of them walked towards where Elena was leading her. The redhead lowered her voice as she told, "Rumors had it that you and him were seen embracing each other in the middle of the corridor." She giggled as she lightly tapped on Seulhyun's arm.
Meanwhile, Seulhyun's brain had gone haywire. Someone had saw them??? Did they see how much she had wailed in front of the prince? Oh, bloody hell...
Blood rushed to her face, and it went noticed by Elena, who quickly concluded the rumors to be true. She squealed in excitement, "So it's true?! That would make you both the second couple to be revealed!"
Seulhyun couldn't help but looked at her oddly, "But why are you so excited over it? You knew about me and Niki." Her brows lifted in question.
"Well, yes but it's different. We didn't get to see you and Prince Niki get close to each other." She explained, "It was so quick and sudden—the both of you left as friends or more like enemies, then came back as lovers.""So, seeing snippets of you and him being all loving has the whole castle in havoc." Elena said, a relaxed smile playing on her lips. "You know, it's partially because Prince Niki is known to be the most ruthless on the field, so seeing him act to loving to you must have shocked them."
Seulhyun couldn't help but smirk. "Oh yea?" She questioned, a slight smug tone complimenting her voice, "Were you shocked as well?"
"Of course!""I didn't know if my ears were playing tricks on me when you announced his proposal. I always thought he was an anti-romantic, but I guess I was wrong." Elena shrugged, unbothered by her wrong assumption.
The brunette examined her friend's expression as it seemed she was in deep thought. The way her eyes stared into the abyss told her a story to be told sooner or later. "How have you been doing, El?"
Elena quirked her brows and put her hand out, waving it slightly, "So-so, I'm not on my best right now but not bad enough to be at my worst." She paused for a while, puckering her lips, "It kind of feels as though I'm hanging on the edge of the cliff, brave enough to be on the edge but too scared to fall off."
"Does that make sense?"
Seulhyun muted herself as she was taken aback by Elena's sudden truthfulness. "I guess.." She faced the shorter girl, wondering what had made her feel that way, "did something happened?"
