When Rose woke up, she noticed that George wasn't there and it made her frown. She felt awful, but she got up to get ready for class, nonetheless.
She took a shower and then brushed her teeth, and once she thought she looked good enough to head down for breakfast, she headed to the Great Hall.
When she reached the common room, she saw Neville near the fireplace. When he heard footsteps he looked back and noticed it was her and said, "Good morning. I wanted to wait for you so we could go to the Great Hall together. Also, I wanted to see if you felt alright but I can tell that you don't."
"Morning, and thanks. I do not feel alright, but I need to go to my classes, I can't miss anything," Rose said, groggily.
"You sound terrible, in the nicest way. I think you need to rest, Rosie," Neville said.
"No, it'll be ok. Besides, I feel like I'm about to have the same conversation with George
when I get to the Great Hall," Rose said.
"I agree, he told me to stay behind, even though I was going anyway, and make sure that you were ok," Neville said.
Rose just smiled and said, "Ok, I'll head down with you."
The siblings then set out for the Great Hall and they were silent. Rose was struggling to keep her eyes open the whole way down and it didn't go unnoticed by Neville. When they reached the hall, Rose went to sit beside George and she rested her head on his shoulder and he spoke and said, "Bloody hell, Rose, you're burning up."
Rose sighed and said, "Gee no, good morning, Rose," she said to lighten the mood a bit.
"Good morning" he said with a grin, "but I think we need to take you to Pomfrey to get some medicine," he said, rubbing her back.
"You look horrendous, Rose," Ron said from across the table.
"Shut up, Ron," Hermione said.
"It's fine, he's not the only one who's told me that this morning," Rose said.
"Hey! I didn't mean to sound rude," Neville said.
"I know, I'm just messing with you," Rose said.
Rose noticed that George's hand never left her back, which she wasn't complaining about. Rose took some toast to eat, still leaning on George, and after she finished, she started to head to Divinations.
Before she could fully get up, George took her arm and said, "We are going to Pomfrey for that cold, no buts about it."
Rose just nodded and the two set out for the Hospital Wing, "Sorry for taking George from you Fred."
"It's alright, your health is important and we both know that George takes your and my health very seriously," Fred said back.
The halls were quiet due to all the students in the Great Hall for breakfast, but the two hoped to reach the Hospital Wing before the crowd entered. Rose made sure that no one was around before she put her hand in Georges for comfort. She never really paid much attention to how much bigger his hand was compared to hers, he practically engulfed it.
Rose just blushed at the fact that he held her hand back, and gave it a gentle squeeze, but little did she know that she had caused George to turn just as red as his hair.
Once they reached the Hospital Wing, they entered and Pomfrey came out to ask what was wrong, "What can I help you with, dear?"
"Rose caught a cold from the Quidditch game and was too stubborn to come herself, so I brought her," George said.
