After Jang Mi's schedule had finished, she went home to shower and get ready to visit Seung-Hyun at his home. She arrived about an hour later to his house with a box of chicken she saved for him and a few other things. She wasn't sure if he liked chicken or not. He was bound to eat it regardless of him wanting to or not. Jang Mi rang the doorbell that sat on its own by Seung-Hyun's gate.
"Jang Mi-ah, you're here?" Seung-Hyun's deep voice said on the other end.
Jang Mi smiled into the camera while holding up the bag with chicken in it. She walked in after hearing the buzz. Just like before, she was amazed by Seung-Hyun's house. The courtyard is just as beautiful at night as it is in the day. It wasn't as dark due to the lanterns that lit up alongside the stone pathway that leads to Seung-Hyun's house. She smiled as she saw Seung-Hyun's tall figure waiting smoothly at the other end. He had his normal hard look but it softened with a small smirk that pulled at the corner of his mouth. Jang Mi couldn't believe what he wore. Casual home clothing fit him so well and it actually made him even more handsome. He wore grey sweats that hung loosely around his hips. He also wore a white long sleeve that clung to him like a second skin. His hair fell down his forehead since it wasn't up in a due. Jang Mi felt bad about the dark circles under his eyes.
"Seung-Hyun!" Jang Mi walked on the stone path to him.
Seung-Hyun waved happily at her. He took in her casual attire she wore to come to his house. She wore an oversized white sweater that stopped mid-thigh. Unlike the one Seung-Hyun saw her wearing the last time, her collarbone wasn't exposed but she still exposed her legs. Her height given a boost due to her wedges. No makeup and hair in a messy bun. She looked like she created casual.
Despite the way she dressed down from most times he has seen her, she didn't look any different. He didn't mind her bare face at all either. She looked extremely tired but smiled brightly at him. She almost made it across the yard without tripping. Her shoe hit a corner of the stone making her stumble and she fought for balance. When she regained her balance, she stood up straight and smiled again.
"Jang Mi-ah, you should be more careful." Seung-Hyun went over to her and grabbed the bags in her hand. "What is all this?" He asked.
"I wasn't able to bring you anything the last time I came because I had no money. So surprise!" Jang Mi laughed as Seung-Hyun joined along.
They both entered the warmth of Seung-Hyun's house. Seung-Hyun had bought Jang Mi new house slippers. They were puppy ones that made her smile when she first saw them. Jang Mi saw the ladybug slipper sitting on the floor and smiled remembering the last time she wore them. She was trapped inside a closet for a while. She remembers how cramped her body was staying in the same position too long. Just the thought of it, Jang Mi stretched out her limbs that were tired from the work she did that day.
Seung-Hyun watched Jang Mi's wandering eyes as it moved around his house. Just like it did last time. He was tired but if they were to become a couple, they needed to know things about each other. Seung-Hyun found it more difficult because he knew Jang Mi was hiding something from him. His mind couldn't even imagine what it was. He knows it has something to do with her family. No matter how much research he did, all he knew was she has an older brother and was raised in America. However, there was no information on where her parents were or what happened to them. He couldn't find what her brother's occupation was either. She was too confusing for him. Seung-Hyun worried that if she hid her past too long, it'll explode into the public like most idols who try to protect their nasty past.
"You brought chicken?" Seung-Hyun asked as he led the way to the living room.
"Yes. It's really good." Jang Mi sat in a chair that looked most comfortable to her. "You like chicken right?"
