Jang Mi couldn't believe her eyes. Her brother had already bought an apartment. It wasn't like any of the apartments that Jang Mi had to live in. No, this apartment was amazing. Jang Mi and her brother would be able to have their own separate rooms. Her poor brother had to sleep in the living room for most of their time in every apartment. He said he didn't mind but Jang Mi knew better. He gave a small sacrifice for her.
"Are you sure you bought it?" Jang Mi asked.
"Yeah." Ji Hoon walked through the empty space. "Since you were away at your photoshoot and stuff, I went ahead and bought it."
Jang Mi had to give it to him, he knew his reality. "This is great."
"Jang Mi-ah, you don't look so good." Ji Hoon reached for his sister's body that wobbled down the hall. "I think I should take you to the hospital."
Ji Hoon noticed it awhile ago. Jang Mi didn't look too well. As moments went on, she started to wobble as she walked down the hall. Ji Hoon was worried. Her face looked pale and even her eyes looked weird. Jang Mi however ignored the signs of being sick. She could walk therefore she felt fine.
"What hospital? I'm perfectly fine." Jang Mi claimed.
It was only a few seconds later did Ji Hoon hear a loud thump as Jang Mi's body collided with the cold floor. Jang Mi had fainted, for real this time. Ji Hoon rushed to her side in a panic and felt her forehead. He knew she was sick but of course he should know his sister to stubbornly deny the accusations. Ji Hoon was worried for his little sister. Her head was too hot and she didn't look to well either. In fact she had a clam complexion. Ji Hoon carried his sister and placed her in the back seat of his trainer's car that he borrowed and sped to the nearest hospital.
When they arrived to the hospital, he ran in with a panic. Nurses automatically surrounded him and lead him to a room. They sent Ji Hoon out so they can double check on all her vital signs and other symptoms. Worried for his sister, he took out her phone and dialed her manager. He probably knew why she was sick. Ji Hoon just hoped for it to not be anything bad. When ever she gets sick, it's hard to put her back on her regular eating diet where she constantly shoved anything edible in her mouth. When things like that happen, Jang Mi looses a lot of weight. It's scary. It always seemed to worry Ji Hoon when she did so. Food is her life.
"I'm here. I came as fast as I could." Manager Kim ran through the emergency room and up to Ji Hoon.
"Hello Mr. Kim." Ji Hoon bowed respectfully.
"Ah, Ji Hoon-ah. What happened?" He asked.
"She just fainted." Ji Hoon explained simply.
Manager Kim ran a hand through his hair. "Aish, I knew she was gonna get sick."
"Why would she get sick?" Ji Hoon asked.
"Ah, so she hasn't told you." Manager Kim nodded. "She was crying in the snow a couple days ago. She was lost in Seoul and called me to pick her up. She was bound to be sick." He shook his head.
Ji Hoon couldn't understand Jang Mi's situation. "Why was she crying in the snow?" He asked.
"You should've called Min Hyo Rin instead of me. She stopped Jang Mi from crying and I'm sure Jang Mi told her everything." He explained. "But it's alright I called her. Surprisingly she is available. Exactly what does she do to be so free?" He started talking to himself since Ji Hoon wasn't listening.
The doctors invited Ji Hoon and Manger Kim into Jang Mi's private room. As they entered, they noticed Jang Mi was still unconscious. Doctors said she had a high fever and was dehydrated. She needed to stay in the hospital for awhile longer until her vitals progressed. Manager Kim had to take care of other matters on Jang Mi's schedule. He needed to cancel things since she was sick and he had to inform the big boss about Jang Mi. So he left Ji Hoon in the room to watch over her. He was fine with it. Who better to watch over his sister than him?
"Jang Mi-ah!" Ji Hoon jumped a little startled by someone else who just entered.
"You're Min Hyo Rin?" Ji Hoon asked to which she nodded. "Why was she crying in the snow?"
Min Hyo Rin eyed Ji Hoon. "I'm sorry who are you?"
Ji Hoon eyed the small girl. "Jang Mi's oppa."
Min Hyo Rin smiled and then bowed. "Nice to meet you."
Hyo Rin went on explaining what happened. With Jang Mi's mom and whatnot. The more she went on explaining everything, it made him angrier. He couldn't believe his mom slapped her. Ji Hoon knew his mom was a wicked women but he didn't know how far she was going to take it. He was exhausted with everything. Ji Hoon could only blame himself. If he hadn't left earlier than Jang Mi, he wouldn't had left her alone with that crazy women. It made him think.
"Do you mind staying with her?" Ji Hoon asked Hyo Rin who made a gesture with her hand telling him to go. "Thank you."
Ji Hoon exited and went to the nurses who sat behind a desk. All look busy typing or placing things on the shelf. A lot of them were talking on the phones while looking through folders. Their scrubs matched each other's as well as their hair that tied neatly into a bun. Ji Hoon knocked on the wooden desk to gain anyone's attention. When a few girls looked over at him, they all suddenly stopped what they were doing and went to tend to him. All with big eyes at such a handsome and fit man in front of them. They looked at him expectantly. All held flirty smiles on their face.
"Is there a doctor here to check on the throat. Like a vocal doctor." He asked.
The girls nodded. "I'll take you to his office." One said.
"No I will."
"Let me take you. I know the hospital like the back of my hand."
"It's fine. Just point me in the direction." Ji Hoon said with a brow raised at their odd behavior. "And what's his name?"
"Dr. Kwang." They all said together while giggling.
Ji Hoon nodded and went on his way. He wanted to get his sister's throat checked without her knowing. The best time to do it was when she was unconscious. Dr. Kwang sat in his office writing on paper on his desk. He had wrinkles and big rimmed glasses that framed his face. When Ji Hoon entered, Dr. Kwang looked up. It caused an automatic bow in Ji Hoon.
"Are you Dr. Kwang?" Ji Hoon asked.
"Yes. Please take a seat." The old man said pointing to the leather chair that faced his desk. Ji Hoon sat in the chair, making it look smaller than it already was. "How may I help you?" He asked, thus causing the whole explanation from Ji Hoon. Dr. Kwang chuckled. "Bae Ji Hoon-ssi, I can't perform this on someone unconscious. Not only is it wrong in so many ways, it's also impossible. The machine I use is in my room for patients. Once your sister wakes, I'll be gladly too check her throat." He smiled.
"She's going to make a fuss." Ji Hoon sighed. "I'll bring her as soon as she wakes up." Ji Hoon stood up and bowed. "Thank you for your time."
