Choi Seung-Hyun felt fear growing strong in him. Jang Mi was standing in front of him in a very protective stance. I should be in front of her and she should be behind me so I can protect her. Choi Seung-Hyun said to himself. But Jang Mi's arm was pushing him back as she glared ices towards the men. Why isn't she scared? Choi Seung-Hyun asked himself. He thought she was crazy to glare at them with no fear. What made his blood pressure increase was the fact that she was taking things off. Her wig along with her snapback and glasses were removed off of her head and into Choi Seung-Hyun's chest. She untied her long sleeve from around her hips and shoved it into Choi Seung-Hyun's full arms. She re-fixed her hair into a tighter bun.
"Jang Mi-ah, I think we should call the cops." Choi Seung-Hyun whispered.
"You dare to glare at us like that?" The man in the front said. "I should just come and smack you."
"Jang Mi-ah, get behind me." Choi Seung-Hyun pulled her behind him, locking her with his long arm. "I don't know what you want from us, but we're just trying to get out."
"Shut up idiot. We're here for the girl." The one who spoke earlier spoke again.
"Yeah, we're getting loads of money to send her back to America." The one to his right spoke with a smirk high on his lips.
"I'm not going anywhere!" Choi Seung-Hyun held her back. "Move, or I might hurt you Choi Seung-Hyun!" She spoke in a low tone, taking Choi Seung-Hyun by surprise.
Jang Mi used that moment to attack. Choi Seung-Hyun watched in a daze. Jang Mi attacked the first one with a side kick to his temple. Choi Seung-Hyun has never seen her move so fast. Everyone in the alleyway watched as the man in the front fell to the ground with a loud thud. Jang Mi smiled a demonic smile. The guys went in for the attack. Jang Mi elbowed the shoulder of the man on her right while using him as a boost for a kick to the guy on her left. She landed a good kick to his chest. Jang Mi felt a crack under her boot as a result from her kick. The man fell down, groaning in pain. The two in front of her were not moving an inch from their spot. The man that she elbowed stood up while stretching out his shoulders. He kicked Jang Mi in the leg causing her to wince but she never moved an inch from her fighting stance. She took her boot and slammed the heel into his foot and punched his stomach. He hunched over in pain and when he did, Jang Mi brought her knee to meet his face half way. His nose cracked and he fell back holding his nose with tearing eyes from the impact.
"Both of you, come at me! The faster I beat you two the faster we can leave." Jang Mi threatened.
"Not before we take you to America." One man said.
"You think you're the only one who can fight like that?" The other man sneered.
"You're just common thugs." She spat at them in disgust. "Take any money that comes your way like dogs." She snapped.
Jang Mi smirked seeing how easily she got under their skins. Only one ran forward and Jang Mi used this to her advantage. She lifted her leg up causing him to crush right into her. She caught him in the neck where he fell down choking. The last guy advanced himself towards Jang Mi who stood still. She couldn't let him punch her. She was filming in a few days and the director wouldn't have it if she showed up with another cut lip. The man she saw was bigger than she was but he was sloppy and fought angrily instead of focusing on the target. Every punch he threw, Jang Mi dodged it. When she was about to hit him, he was on the floor and she heard groaning and swearing coming from Choi Seung-Hyun.
"I couldn't let you show me out?" Choi Seung-Hyun smirked when really his knuckles were sore from the impacts.
Jang Mi took hold of Choi Seung-Hyun's knuckles, lightly rubbing them. "Let's go." She smiled.

Choi Seung-Hyun sat on the couch in his house. Jang Mi sat on a coffee table with the first aid kit next to her. She was disinfecting the cuts on his knuckles and he winced everytime she touched his wound. Jang Mi winced everytime he winced, like it hurt her. She would blow lightly on it as she took his hands in hers. Choi Seung-Hyun thought his hands were going to break from the way she held them like it was fragile. She was treating his hand like they were fragile or that she would break it if she moved it the wrong way. Choi Seung-Hyun felt guilty that she was tending to his wound when he knew that kick should have broken her small legs.
"Is your leg okay?" Choi Seung-Hyun asked.
Jang Mi never looked up as she spoke. "My brother's hits are much worst than any of those thugs." Jang Mi wrapped his knuckles up. "You shouldn't worry to much about me."
"Your brother hits you?" Choi Seung-Hyun asked totally ignoring her suggestion. It's no wonder she doesn't get along with her family. "Why does he hit you?"
Jang Mi chuckled lightly as she shook her head. "My brother used to train me when I was a teenager. He taught me how to protect myself. So he hit me every now and then. But I've been fighting since I was really young so this is nothing to me."
"Why did you fight since you were young? It doesn't sound fun at all."
Jang Mi ran a hand through her messy hair as she examined her wrapping. "It wasn't my decision." She sighed and then looked him in the eye. "You're not scared of me are you? You're not even going to question who those men were?"
Choi Seung-Hyun watched her with a serious expression. She kept her face hard and cold. He has never seen her this way before. She put up her usual brick walls but now it was surrounded by steel bars. She held his gaze and the stare off was intense. Both of them didn't like to stare at people in the eye. The stare down was seriously intense for both of them to comprehend what was going on. Choi Seung-Hyun found himself leaning in closer to her. Jang Mi's heart was beating rapidly against her ribcage. She couldn't lean in. She saw him as a good friend. But the closer he got the more she wanted for him to move in faster. And just when their lips were to touch, Jang Mi's phone rang bringing both of them to jump away from each other like they committed a serious crime.
"Hello?" Jang Mi answered in a shaky breath. "Hello?" Jang Mi answered again. She looked at her phone and smiled sheepishly towards Choi Seung-Hyun. "It was a text message."
They sat there awkwardly. Jang Mi never felt awkward around Choi Seung-Hyun until now. Not when he slept in her house, even when she woke up in his arms. She found none of those situations to be awkward enough. However, she sat across from him slightly confused. Why was he even trying to kiss me? Jang Mi thought to herself. Maybe he wasn't trying to kiss me and I just have something on my face. Jang Mi started swatting things on her face as if they were there. But it caught the attention of Choi Seung-Hyun who replaced his awkward feelings to feelings of amusement. Jang Mi was squirming under his intense gaze. She was at a lost of words as to why he was staring at her. She noticed how the corners of his mouth pulled up into a small smirk. He sat still and Jang Mi was worried that he wasn't even breathing. What's wrong with him?
"I'm not scared of you. If anything, I find you more interesting." He spoke suddenly catching Jang Mi with big eyes.
"Interesting?" Jang Mi questioned.
"Yeah, you're very interesting Bae Jang Mi." He said emphasizing every syllable in her name. "Don't you find me interesting?" He said leaning closer to her.
Jang Mi watched the seriousness in Choi Seung-Hyun's eyes. She knew then that the question he asked was serious enough for him to want an answer back. Jang Mi quickly stood up and started mumbling things to herself. She didn't know what to tell Choi Seung-Hyun to get out of the situation at hand. He was too close for comfort. She could smell his masculine cologne that was a light mix with his actual smell. How can he just make his own cologne smell better than it already is? She angrily thought. She couldn't control the words that spilled out of her mouth. She had to do something before she says something stupid. Like the good actress she is, she did the first thing that popped into her mind. She fainted. Theatrically of course.
