Jang Mi walked outside the YG building feeling the warmth of the building instantly leave her. Night has fallen yet the streets in Seoul were alive. Ji Hoon was waiting for Jang Mi. He wore a black coat and grey sweats. His neck protected by a grey scarf. He was so tall Jang Mi had spotted him long before exiting the YG building. He waved at Jang Mi as she made her way to him.
"Oppa!" She smiled.
Ji Hoon smiled. "Are you hungry?" He asked which was received by a deadpan look. "Of course you are." He rolled his eyes. "What do you want to eat?" He asked.
Jang Mi smiled. "I want to eat tteokbokki, sweet patatos, red bean fish toast, mandu, ooo and Kimbap." She said giving Ji Hoon a puppy dog frown. "Please oppa."
Ji Hoon smiled. "Those are just in my price range."
Jang Mi scrunched up her face and punched his arm. "You cheapskate."
Ji Hoon laughed and lead the way for his sister. Jang Mi looked at Ji Hoon's back and felt like she needed to be carried instead of walking. She did a running leap to jump onto his back. Cursed with a women's small height, she couldn't even get close. Ji Hoon shook his head and bent down so Jang Mi could have a less difficult time climbing on. Jang Mi smiled and climbed onto her brother's back. It's been a long time since Ji Hoon last gave his baby sister a piggyback ride but since then, she has gotten really heavy. It shocked him at how heavy she was since she was so tiny.
"Why are you so heavy?" He asked.
Jang Mi scoffed. "Heavy? I'm not heavy! You're just weak. You have muscles for nothing." Jang Mi said poking at his arm.
Ji Hoon shook his head. "Even my muscles can't believe how heavy you've gotten. Where do you hide all that weight?" He asked.
Jang Mi shrugged. "I have heavy bones." She said causing Ji Hoon to have a fit of laughter. "Don't laugh. It's a thing. The doctor said so too." Jang Mi said lying through her teeth. "He said if I'm not careful I could die." She continued.
Ji Hoon laughed. "Well let's make sure my sister doesn't die."
....
Choi Seung-Hyun sat in his car. He was waiting. He had been waiting in his car for the last three hours. He finally saw what he wanted to see, Jang Mi. Jang Mi walked out of the building. He finally confirmed she was indeed with Ji Yong. Ji Yong came out an hour ago which confirmed the fact that he lied to the band mates about his whereabouts. Choi Seung-Hyun knew they were up to something. He wondered if the two were dating behind everyone's back. That thought that made Choi Seung-Hyun grip the steering wheel until his knuckles turned completely white. Daesung sat helplessly next to him.
"Hyung." Choi Seung-Hyun let out a breath. Forgetting that Daesung was in the car with him. "Maybe I should drive us home." He suggested.
"No I have to follow her. Make sure she's ok." Choi Seung-Hyun said.
Choi Seung-Hyun and Daesung watched as Jang Mi met up with a tall man. "Who is that?" Daesung asked.
"It's Jang Mi's brother." Choi Seung-Hyun said. "I've met him before."
Daesung jumped in his seat ignoring Choi Seung-Hyun. "They're moving!" He pointed.
Choi Seung-Hyun started the car and slowly followed them. They witnessed Jang Mi trying and failing to jump onto her brother's back. Daesung was mesmerized by their sibling bond as he watched Jang Mi's brother bend down to make it easier for her to climb onto his back. Choi Seung-Hyun kept his eyes on Jang Mi. It never left her. Daesung had to remind him that he was driving. The siblings were talking away and laughing. Daesung and Choi Seung-Hyun followed them for awhile until the two finally stopped. They stopped at a food cart. Choi Seung-Hyun watched as Jang Mi happily jumped up and down as she ordered what ever it was she wanted to eat.
Choi Seung-Hyun and Daesung sat in his now parked car watching the two eat. Choi Seung-Hyun knew she could eat but this to him was ridiculous. She was eating happily. Choi Seung-Hyun couldn't believe she could eat so well after their break up. Choi Seung-Hyun was lacking in an appetite since their breakup. He shook his head thinking about it. Choi Seung-Hyun instantly stopped shaking his head because he saw something in the corner of his eye. He had to do a double take. There stood a lady wearing a black trench coat with a baseball cap. Even dogs would be able to recognize someone under such a lacking disguise.
Jang Mi's mother had stood a good distance away from Jang Mi and her brother. She did nothing but observe the two. She looked suspicious but Choi Seung-Hyun knew how oblivious Jang Mi was and he just figured out her brother wasn't any different. Choi Seung-Hyun shook his head and took out his phone. He hesitantly called Jang Mi's phone. Her named saved as 'My Favorite Rose' in his phone. It was a detail Daesung didn't miss.
Choi Seung-Hyun watched as Jang Mi absentmindedly took out her phone and answered it. "Hello?" She said.
Choi Seung-Hyun sighed. "Jang Mi-ah." Choi Seung-Hyun said watching Jang Mi go still.
"Choi Seung-Hyun? Why are you calling?" Jang Mi asked. "Did something happen? Are you okay?" These words made Choi Seung-Hyun smiled a little.
"I'm fine. I was just passing by when I saw you eating at a food truck." He said causing Jang Mi to spin all over the place looking for him. "Don't look for me. I called to tell you your mom is following you."
Jang Mi froze in the spot. "What? You see her?" She panicked. "I'm fine but she can't see you. If she sees you then she's going to..."
"Jang Mi-ah I'm fine." Choi Seung-Hyun said cutting her off. "I just called to let you know."
Choi Seung-Hyun saw a small smile form at her lips. "Thank you. Choi Seung-Hyun, don't worry about me. I'm fine. I'm a fighter remeber?" She smiled.
"I know. Doesn't mean I don't worry." Choi Seung-Hyun said.
Jang Mi didn't reply but kept silent. In fact they both stayed silent on phone. It felt like forever to bystanders like Ji Hoon and Daesung, who stood by them watching helplessly. Daesung couldn't watch anymore so he stepped out to give him some privacy. Choi Seung-Hyun was thankful to him for that.
The two stayed on the phone like that. Jang Mi enjoying the sounds of Choi Seung-Hyun's soft breathing. On the other end, Choi Seung-Hyun enjoyed listening to her voice. He misses her. He misses her odd smell of vanilla and what ever food she ate that day mixed into an unbelievably amazing smell. He missed hearing her laugh. He missed seeing her whenever they were free. Now when ever he was free he felt lonely and bored. She made him smile and warm even the coldest parts of his heart. If he had gotten the chance before their break up, he would have confessed to her about the love he has for her. He loves every single piece of her. And if her heart or anywhere at all were to hurt, he would in a heartbeat take over the pain so she wouldn't have to harbor it.
"Jang Mi-ah." He hesitantly started. After a few seconds of no reply he spoke. "I love you and I don't think I can stop loving you."
Jang Mi's head shot up and for a few seconds she didn't say anything. She wasn't shocked about Choi Seung-Hyun loving her. She knew he did but she wasn't sure if he knew that she loves him just as much as he loves her. She was looking around. Looking for him. After staring at every street around her, she finally spotted his car parked on the side of the steeet. She couldn't see him through the tint but she made eye contact with him. Her eyes watered as she stared into a glass that she couldn't see through. "Choi Seung-Hyun, I love you too. I don't know how to stop loving you."
