(this was made before the bday live so i made everything uppp but either way, this is an au so i wouldnt use those anyways)

jiwoong: did you fuking give your friend that was applying, my email

hanbin: did i?

jiwoong: bc now i’d be looking over it not the hiring manager
jiwoong: yk what, wtv ill do it
jiwoong: we’d be working closely later so i might as well check over it

hanbin: yeah!!

jiwoong: also tell hao happy birthday for me, i dont think i’ll have the time to message him later

hanbin: okayy

operation secret bday party

leader: okay guys

ricky: yes

matt: yes!

leader: quick, review the shit
leader: ricky what r u gonna be doing?

ricky: hiding and holding the gifts

leader: great
leader: matt?

me: ill be hiding at first, then come out with the cake, light up the candles

leader: amazing
leader: and then we all sing happy birthday

matt: yahoo perfect
matt: nice!!

leader: you guys know where the keys r, you go in first ill be there later after work, bringing hao with me
leader: which should be in an hour bc its a weekend so work ends earlier… so in the mean time you guys can chill and stuff.

ricky: okayy

matt: yeah ricky its me and u now we gotta go to hanbin's house for this and essentially break in

ricky: best part is breaking in

leader: guys be serious

matthew and ricky met up, laughing along the way excited to scare the shit out of hao and to make a surprise birthday party. when matthew told him to hold the box with the cake for a second so he could tie his shoes, ricky nearly dropped the box, the two panicking and relieved when the cake was safe.

back then, matthew didn't really have enough friends to plan this stuff and even throw surprise birthday parties, only having 1 best friend, that best friend being hanbin.

but as they got older, the two met some other people! ricky, hao, hanbin meeting jiwoong due to hao's work. it was mainly hanbin that was close to jiwoong, matthew not knowing much about him and he didn't care about that.

anyways, the two reached their destination and ricky took the duplicate key -that hanbin made yesterday for this- out of his pocket and unlocked the door, entering.

they slipped off their shoes and placed the box of cake in the fridge so it wouldn't melt, also placing the gifts they'd be giving hao later, down too.

"okay so hanbin hyung said in an hour… what do we do now," matthew asked ricky.

"oh set up streamers and the big balloon letters," ricky shrugged, "we do have a lot of time left."

"oh yeah didnt hanbin hyung have some prepared for us to hang up." matthew walked over to the box that was hidden away, its purpose was for secret hao birthday celebrations. and the way that hao hadn't noticed it, from the amount of times he went to his boyfriend's house was crazy and incredibly lucky.

matthew and ricky hung up the balloon letters which said happy birthday hao, and it took a while since matthew realized it was crooked so they had to redo it a couple times. they wrote some letters for hao and now they needed to wait.
