All that was on Althea's mind was the worry of what to wear. Paul was going to be picking her up to go to Sue's diner and the girl was pacing her room. She didn't want to dress too formal but she wanted to look slightly presentable for the boy. It was a date? The girl didn't even know what it was. Were they just hanging out on their own as friends or was it more of a date? Paul never specified which had the girl more on edge. A quick thought flashed through her mind, Rosalie would help her and her indecisive mind with her outfit dilemma. But the true reality flooded over Althea that Rosalie still wasn't there. She was gone.Taking a gamble on her clothing, the younger Swan girl decided on something as simple as a pair of jeans and a shirt with a tank top underneath along with some sneakers. It was a diner after all, not a five star restaurant. There was no reason she had to go over the top. Paul already was used to what she normally wore anyway so she shouldn't receive a bad reaction. Of course, little did she know he wouldn't have cared if she threw on sweatpants and a hoodie and called it a day. He would still be over the moon for her.
Charlie was a little surprised when his youngest daughter had told him she was going out to dinner with a boy, especially one who wasn't Jacob Black. His eyes had initially seemed like they would pop out of their sockets. But he had noticed the way she had been in a cheerier mood as of late and he knew her and Jacob hadn't been hanging out all that much because Bella had swapped places with Althea. It had thrown the Swan father for a loop one day when Jacob came to the house and Charlie instantly thought he was there for Althea which was why he told him she wasn't home. But then Jacob informed him he was there for Bella and it made him take a minute. It was a strange occurrence.
Charlie Swan constantly felt like he was losing his mind with the way his household turned crazy when his eldest daughter moved in. Once upon a time he was always in the know of what was going on in Althea's life, now he had no idea what was going on in any of his daughter's lives let alone his own. The man was lost. But seeing how Althea had become a happier person in the past few weeks, he was glad that the girl was doing okay.
"He better come to the door," Charlie grumbled while Althea placed the plate of food in front of her father who was in his uniform.
"Dad, I don't even think it's a date," Althea informed him.
"But still, a gentleman would come to the door to pick you up. Introduce himself," Charlie told her.
