The cafeteria at Forks High School buzzed with life

The cafeteria at Forks High School buzzed with life. A lot of the seniors in that particular lunch period continued to be a bumbling mess of laughter and chatter. The days had been passing by quicker and before they all knew it, graduation day was going to be sneaking up on them. But for the time being they still had to keep themselves composed and busy.

Althea sat beside Jessica Stanely as she attempted to help her and Angela with brainstorming ideas for the graduation speech. The Swan girl was able to pull some strings in order to get Jessica to be the one who spoke to the room full of people. Althea knew how much Jess wanted to be Valedictorian though with Althea, she had come second in the class rank. And in all honesty, Althea had too much on her plate to even want to sit down and write a whole speech that she then would have to speak in front of a crowd of people. She had approached the principal and made the simple request by using the excuse that she wasn't good with public speaking, not wanting to get ill up on the podium. Though in reality, the young Swan girl wouldn't have had an issue talking to all those people. She had dreams bigger than a speech at graduation so she was fine letting Jessica take the reins when it came to addressing the whole of their graduating class.

Mike had attempted to assist the girls who were writing ideas down. Bouncing one line after another off of each other to see which ones stuck better. But Mike's idea of a great speech was horrible. He was happy to read it off to Bella and Edward once they had joined the group at the table. The boy expected some sort of applause but all he got was Jessica crumbling up the paper and throwing it at him.

"That will be my speech when I want people to throw diplomas at my head," Jessica told him, rolling her eyes in annoyance.

"Hey, just think, if they throw the diplomas hard enough if the speech totally tanks, you might be able to forget about it all as a whole," Althea pointed out which caused Angela to giggle and Eric to snicker.
"Althea, you're supposed to be helping me. Not making me panic more," Jess said.

The girl shrugged, "Sorry. Just trying to see the bright-side of how things could potentially go."

"Besides Mike, Jess doesn't need cliches. The speech is going to be epic with Althea's help," Bella spoke up which caused Althea to peer over at her older sister a little suspiciously. Ever since Charlie had ungrounded her, Bella was acting like she was an angel. Althea wondered how long that would last though.

"Epic could change lives," Jess smiled with confidence.

Alice and Jasper had soon joined the rest of the group. Sitting down in the two empty spots separating Althea from Edward. Alice solidified their presence with her chirpy mood.
