After a couple of hours, Jennie and Lisa were now at a bowling alley. Lisa was pretty happy about bowling because, for one, it was loud. Loud sounds tend to cut the string of awkward tension. But mainly because she loved bowling.

She rolled the ball and...

"Ooo, gutter," Jennie teased from behind.

She might have loved bowling, but that didn't mean she was good at it.

Lisa rolled her eyes and groaned before plopping herself on the chair next to Jennie,

"Man, I really thought I was going to get a strike this time," she whined. Jennie laughed, standing up,

"You say that every time it's your turn," The brunette teased, bending down to grab a ball. Lisa's gaze swept down before she widened her eyes and looked away again. She felt like a sinner for a moment.

"Because," she coughed, "I feel like I would get a strike every time," Lisa joked back. Jennie turned to her, ball in her hand as she smirked at Lisa,

"And yet," she looked up at the board, "You've gotten gutter three times in a row."

Lisa playfully scoffed, "A girl can dream can't she?" She felt so playful with Jennie. So, giddy and maybe Jennie was feeling the same way because Jennie had yet to stop smiling. She looked happy and that made Lisa happy.

It really had felt like they were transported back in the past. Just two high schoolers bowling together as if nothing bad had ever happened to them. Lisa shook her head, she didn't want to think about it anymore. But, why was it so hard to forget?

Jennie cheered suddenly. Lisa looked back at her and smiled. Jennie was squealing in excitement because she got another strike.

"I did it!!"

Lisa laughed and clapped, "Yes you did." Jennie giggled and looked at the screen,

"Another strike! See Lili! Look!"

When Jennie glanced at Lisa, her smile dropped. Lisa looked as white as a ghost. Suddenly, Jennie knew why. Shit.

Lili.

Lili.

Lili.

It was too soon. Too soon to act like there was nothing wrong between them. Too soon to act Like Jennie and her were still best friends. Too soon because there was no closure, no answers.

Lisa abruptly stood up.

"I need some air," she breathed out before turning around and rushing out. Jennie didn't even hesitate to follow Lisa out. She told herself she was not going to let Lisa walk away this time. Even if she was the one who walked away first.

Lisa practically slammed the doors open, bumping into those trying to get in and earning nasty glares from them but not giving a care because she needed air.

"Fuck off!" She heard Jennie shouting at the people she bumped into but she couldn't focus on the way she was protecting her when she was struggling to think of anything else other than the fact Jennie was affecting her again.

It had been two years, why was it still affecting her this badly. Why was Jennie affecting her this badly?

Why?

But then Jennie took her wrist and turned her around and when Lisa looked into her eyes again she was struck by realization.

She was still in love with her.

Lisa was still in love with Jennie.

Lisa's heart thundered. No. She wasn't supposed to still be in love with her. But looking at Jennie and feeling flushed from how kind her eyes were with her hand softly and carefully holding onto her wrist like she did not want to hurt her, Lisa could feel her heart reaching for her.
