"So, you and Jennie..."

"Yup." Lisa sighed deeply, sitting down on her bed and staring at her shocked roommate across from her. "Don't look so surprised," she teased.

"Well, I am surprised. Especially since you...," she dragged, shrinking a bit as if she didn't know if she would be regretting her next chosen words, "Still like her, perhaps?" Lisa felt her body stiffen. How did she–?

"It's in your eyes," Chaeyoung cut through her thoughts with an understanding smile, "When you see her, I mean. You kind of brighten up, only to get all sad and mopey. Especially since you guys didn't get your closure yet." The blonde bit her lip, hesitating, "Did you get the closure you wanted?"

Lisa pondered for a moment. Did she? And then she smiled lightly, "I did. But I won't lie, it was a little disappointing, her reasoning I mean. But, I understand." She did understand, despite how hurt she was. In high school, no one truly knows who they are which leads to making mistakes. But with those mistakes, comes with lessons learned.

Lisa then backed up on her bed till she could feel the wall pressed up against her back. She pulled her knee to her chest before hugging her legs and resting her chin on her knee, "It just sucks that after two years, I still can't stop feeling this way for her"

Chaeyoung nodded, "It's going to be hard. Will you be okay?" And Lisa shrugged,

"I don't know, honestly."

It had been a week since Lisa partially forgave Jennie. And ever since, the brunette worked hard on mending things between the two.

Lisa and Jennie were .... Okay.

It was odd, that was clear to Lisa. Although, Jennie knew and understood Lisa's boundaries. It was unsaid, but Lisa appreciated the way Jennie respected her limits.

Lisa will admit, she liked receiving the attention from Jennie. It was bitter sweet, however. Because, where there was Jennie, there was Taehyung and where there was Taehyung was the truth.

Again, hard to hate the guy when he was the nicest human being in the world. Because, it was a thursday night when he dropped a message in a new group chat:

Group chat

Tae: Hello ladies! Are you all free this weekend? Because I'm not...

Chu: Good to know.

Chae: Chu...

Jen: Why haven't we ever had a group chat before? This is fun!

Lisa smiled at Jennie's message before tapping away herself,

Lis: I'm free. What's up?

Tae: Well, because I will be visiting my parents this weekend, I decided that you four need a ladies weekend. So... I booked a villa on a beach for the four of you! Here is the pin to the location, be there Friday night and enjoy till Sunday night!

Lisa shook her knee as she responded, her mind ticking over the possibilities of the weekend at a speed of light. Could she do it? Could she really be around Jennie all weekend? It was exhilarating yet frightening. She could say no, but the other girls were responding so excitedly so how could she let them down? She should've said she was busy.

"I call shotgun!!" Jisoo shouted, sprinting towards Chaeyoung's car with Chaeyoung rushing behind.

"We know! You told us five times already!"

Lisa laughed as she shouldered her bag, but hearing her name being called out behind had her stopping in place and turning around. She smiled at Irene as the older one walked up to her, curiosity swimming her eyes,

"Where are you going?" She asked.

"We're going to be staying at Taehyung's parents villa for the weekend," Lisa responded calmly as if being close to Jennie all weekend was not affecting her in any way. Irene pouted,

"So no weekend hangout?"

Lisa and Irene had been hanging out and talking about Irene's "possible" feelings for Seulgi a lot recently. She was incredibly in denial and it was almost amusing. Almost.

Lisa chuckled, lifting her hand and ruffling her hair, "Aww, are you going to miss me?" She teased, earning an eye roll from the latter. Irene  playfully swatted her hand away before taking it and swinging their hands together, she sighed deeply,

"I do not know I have the capability to breathe when you are not near."

Lisa laughed, "Someone's been watching too much bridgerton." She gripped Irene's hands gently, "But seriously, will you be okay this weekend? I know Seulgi has a–."

"A date," Irene looked down, "Yeah, I know." She nodded with a tight grin, "I'll be okay, I think." Lisa nearly spat out about how much Irene is in love with the girl, but from the look in Irene's expression, she knew to just bite her tongue and hug her instead. She pulled Irene close and embraced her warmly,

"I'll only be a call away, okay?" She could feel Irene nodding against her shoulder as a response. The two have gotten closer. Lisa could say that Irene was becoming one of her best friends. Suddenly, when Lisa glanced up, she met confused eyes. But the confusion quickly transitioned to something neutral, something unreadable.

Irene pulled away and looked up, only to follow Lisa's gaze. "Hey Jennie," she casually greeted. Shyly, Jennie walked up to them, a small odd smile on display.

"Hey. Sorry, I didn't mean to intrude..." She dragged, her hand motioning between the two. Lisa shook her head,

"You weren't intruding, I was just saying bye to this old woman," Lisa teased but squeaked as Irene pinched her side. The action caused Lisa to instinctively meet Jennie's as both suddenly had the same thought,

Deja vu.

"One, I am not old. And two, you're annoying." Lisa laughed grabbing Irene's wrist to pull her back for another  hug,

"Aww, don't be grumpy, I'll text you when I make it there safely okay?" Lisa felt herself laughing again as Irene merely and annoyingly grumbled. What a grumpy girl.

Jennie felt her grip on her bag tighten.

Witnessing Lisa and Irene made her reminisce about the past. She used to be the girl in Lisa's arms.

For a moment, Jennie blinked and when she opened her eyes, it was her standing beside Lisa. It was her laughing at Lisa and with Lisa taking her hand to pull her closer.

Jennie always felt safe when Lisa took her hand. But then Jennie blinked once more and it was no longer her being teased by Lisa. It was Irene.

But there was something strange with how the two acted. It made the brunette wonder, did they use to look like a couple?  Or, was it because Irene and Lisa were a couple? Was Lisa and Irene dating?

Her chest tightened uncomfortably. Perhaps it was because she was feeling like a third wheel. Yes, that must be it.

"Be safe okay?" Irene said, pulling away and waving goodbye at the both of them. Lisa happily waved back before looking back at Jennie and grinning from how lost the beautiful girl looked.

"Jennie? Are you there?" She teased. That must've brought her back to reality because Jennie finally met Lisa's eyes and blushed in embarrassment.

"Oh! Uh, yeah. Let's go."

Lisa chuckled and nodded, before naturally taking one of Jennie's bags. An action that took Jennie by surprise. Lisa didn't even give Jennie time to react, the raven haired girl was already walking to the car.

Little did they both know, both faces were flushed. One from embarrassment, the other from... well, she didn't really know... how odd.
