After leaving the library, it was time for Seren and I to head to our last class of the day. "At least now we know who our teacher is. That's a plus i guess." I shrugged.

"Oh yeah, that'll give us a real edge. Not to mention the fact that the two of you DEFINITELY have a thing for each other." Seren cackled sarcastically.

"I don't want to hear it. Have you noticed the way you and Nash act with each other? You have got to be kidding me."

"I am in a serious relationship with Artemis. Ya' know, our roommate?"

"Oh trust me, I am aware. The two of you are disgusting. The flirting with you and Nash could never compare. THAT is for sure."

"You clearly don't know the definition of flirting."

"Funny, I was just about to say the same thing to you. Mind reader."

"I cant read minds, shitass. I can sense emotions and control them. THAT IS ALL. We have been over this."

"Speaking of senses, are you going to catch up with Nash after class to check on him? Maybe we should invite him to Tokyo?"

"And have Artemis even more upset? Nah I am good on that." Seren sighed loudly.

I rolled my eyes as i followed behind Seren into the classroom.

"Good afternoon ladies, it is nice to see you both again." Turstin greeted as he walked up behind us, placing his hand on my shoulder.

"Good afternoon, be prepared, you're looking at your star pupil right here!" I pointed to Seren in front of me with a nervous smile on my face.

"Oh shut up you big baby. If you would just study more often instead of getting into trouble with BOYS, you might have straight A's yourself." Seren scoffed as she spit her venom.

We filed into the second row of lab tables and took a seat beside each other. The tables in this classroom were always my favorite since I first saw them at orientation. The table itself shown to me as a beautiful blueish grey which made the light marble accents stand out so vividly. I bet those accents are white. Even in various shades of grey, this table oozed class and sophistication. I always felt so accomplished when I sat in here, so proud to be at this university. The walls were a very dark grey with some speckles of light. They seemed to make the lighter colors in the walls and tables shine brighter as well. Although many classrooms are reused for different subjects, the various light and dark colors coupled with the steel vines that trimmed the presentation board made this room seem particularly fitting for a class called Damnations and Intentions. I giggled at the thought which made Seren give me a confused but amused look. We are all mad here.

I watched as Turstin took his place at the front of the class. He grabbed a dry erase marker and wrote his name on the presentation board in cursive. Such class. You never see writing like that anymore. Dr. Turstin Abernathy. What a name. What a gorgeous man. Lilura Abernathy. That's a nice thought. It does have a bit of a ring to it. It should considering I would have to wear his ring to have it. I barely know the man and here I am thinking of ways to merge our names together. I guess that's what happens when you have a cute dog and a beautiful smile. Not to mention the way he speaks, he commands a room. The power you sense as you stand close to him is palpable. Abernathy instead of Undergrove. What a thought. It would be nice to not be the last living relative that's left to "carry on a legacy." As if breaking generational curses in a family wasn't enough. My family had to actually end up with a curse. All because my father couldn't stay faithful. It is such an embarrassing story. If he hadn't ruined everything I would still have my family, I would still have the pride and power that used to be associated with the Undergrove name. But, I guess all good things have to come to an end eventually. I was pushed out of my own head by the sound of Turstin's voice as he addressed the class.
