I was so exhausted after the scene I had witnessed at the school, Xaun walked me over to Seren's SUV and shuffled me into the backseat.

"Stay here. Don't push yourself to go back in there, I mean it." Xaun took off his jacket and bunched it up before placing it down on the backseat. "Try to get some rest, I will let Seren know youre here so she can run you home when she gets time."

I nodded sleepily, wiping the residual tears from the corners of my eyes. "Got it."

Xaun sighed loudly as he shut the door, watching me slowly lay myself down in the backseat with my head resting on his jacket. "This isn't the end of the world, Lil. Just a bump in the road, innit?"

I rolled my eyes and scrunched my body up to keep myself warm as I got adjusted to my makeshift bed.

""Innit?"" I mocked him under my breath as I began to fall asleep. My mind began to run wild.

"Lil, there is someone at the door for you." Seren hollered at me from her room, knocking on my bedroom wall that connected to hers.

I thought I was just in the car, what's going on?

I sighed and sat up from my bed. I wonder who that could be?

Walking toward the door, i noticed brown hair peeking up from the small window that decorated the top of our front door.

My heart felt like a cog that stopped turning, I went from reaching for the doorknob to a stone statue that had been gracing the front lawn of a prestigious university in 5 seconds flat.

It can't be.

I giggled to myself and brushed off the thought before opening the door to see Turstin standing there with his back to me.

Just kidding.

I tried to say something, but even with my mouth hanging open nothing came out.

Turstin turned around, placing his left hand on his neck, visibly embarrassed.

We stared at each other for what felt like eons.

His colors were back, I could see everything. I could feel a warmth. I was so caught up in my own head and the realization that he wasn't a flat black and white anymore that a tear almost fell from my eye without my knowledge.

"I need to talk to you." He finally uttered, holding a small box in his free hand.

I stayed quiet, moving backwards slowly then turning to walk toward the couch.

If this is a dream, please just let it go on a little longer. Please.

I sat down and placed my hands in my lap. Tustin sat down in front of me on the floor crossing his legs while placing the box gently beside him.

I couldn't stop staring at him, dream or not, I wanted to memorize him one more time. I couldn't live with myself if i didn't. The smell of his cologne, the way his shirts hug so tightly against his body. His hair, the shaved sides that were so comforting to play with when we would lay in bed together. Those eyes, it's always the eyes. Everyone talks about the eyes, but these eyes. Those eyes. Just thinking about them and how they looked at me, that was enough to build me up and destroy me again all in seconds.

I felt his hand on my knee, faint and definitely not real but vivid nonetheless.

"I made a mistake, LIl." His words felt like they were floating right through me, no, burrowing through me like a subway car going through a tunnel.
