The day unfolded in a blur as I rushed from one class to the next, my mind spinning with thoughts of Turstin and the evening ahead. I found it hard to concentrate, my thoughts continually drifting back to the warmth of his embrace, the softness of his lips against mine. Despite the fatigue tugging at my eyelids, anticipation bubbled within me like a fizzy potion.

"Lil?" Seren whispered aggressively, waving her hand in front of my face. "Is anyone in there?"

I snapped out of my daydream, my arm was cramping from holding my head up.

"Sorry, I didn't get much sleep last night."

"Oh, I noticed. You never came home, you little shit."

I blushed, placing my hands in my lap as I bumped Seren playfully. "I was out studying."

"Studying the human anatomy, I suppose."

"Shut up" I began to giggle uncontrollably, causing a disturbance in class.

A loud smack against the whiteboard at the head of the classroom stopped me in my tracks.

"Are the two of you going to be teaching the class today?" Mr. Grimsbane threw daggers at Seren and I with his eyes, holding his wand tightly in his hand as he smacked it again as hard as he could against the whiteboard. "Well?"

"I don't think that would be appropriate, Mr.Grimsbane." Seren retorted, leaning back in her seat as she crossed her arms in front of her.

"And why is that, Ms. Webb?" Grimsbane pointed his gaze at her, seemingly trying to melt her with the steam wafting from his forehead.

"We have to fill up an hour of class time, Mr. Grimsbane, and I could teach this lesson in five minutes."

The classroom became deathly silent.

I panicked, standing up with my sweaty palms clenched into a fist at my sides. "She didn't mean that. We will be quiet, we-"

"Sit DOWN Ms. Undergrove." He snapped at me, pointing his finger at my chair.

I quickly sat down, following orders praying he wouldn't expel us both just for looking at him the wrong way.

Grimsbane closed his eyes slowly, taking a few deep breaths before continuing the lesson.

I looked over at Seren and rolled my eyes, she was so proud of herself. In truth, I can't blame her. I was never the type to speak out like she could, right or wrong, serious or silly, that woman had a voice and she was NOT afraid to use it.

Finally, the last bell of the day rang, signaling the end of classes. I hurriedly gathered my things and made my way to Turstin's place, the key he had slipped into my pocket earlier burning a hole with promise.

His house, nestled in a quiet corner of the suburbs, felt like a sanctuary. The air was thick with the aroma of herbs and incense, creating an ambiance that wrapped around me like a comforting cloak. Turstin greeted me at the door with a smile that lit up his face, and my heart skipped a beat at the sight of him.

The way he smiled, the way he looked at me. It made me feel like no one, no man, had ever laid eyes on me before. The sparkle in his eye when he saw my face, was one of the most beautiful things I had ever seen.

"Hey," he murmured, pulling me into a warm embrace that felt like coming home. "I'm glad you're here."

I closed my eyes, breathing him in. I could feel his soft cotton button up pressed against my cheeks. Smell the cologne he was wearing, something sweet but musky. His arms felt like a weighted blanket, I felt so comfortable and safe.

"Me too," I replied softly into his chest, reveling in the simple pleasure of being near him.

We spent the evening immersed in easy conversation, the hours slipping by unnoticed as we shared stories and laughter. Turstin prepared a delicious meal that we enjoyed by candlelight, the flickering flames casting shadows that danced on the walls.

As the night deepened, we moved to the living room, where a crackling fire cast a cozy glow over us and his dog sprawled out on the living room rug. Turstin's fingers traced patterns on my hand as we sat side by side on the couch, our words growing quieter as the intimacy between us deepened.

My heart felt like it was going to burst right out of my chest just looking at him, let alone feeling his touch.

"I've never felt like this before," I confessed, my voice barely above a whisper. "Everything feels... different, with you."

Turstin's gaze softened, his eyes locking onto mine with a depth of emotion that stole my breath away. "You've changed my world, Lilura," he said earnestly. "Being with you... it's like finding a missing piece of myself. Even when we're away from each other, I feel like if I close my eyes you're right there with me."

I leaned into him, my head finding its place on his shoulder as we melted into each other's presence. The fire crackled beside us, a companion to the gentle rhythm of our breathing.

"I don't want this night to end," I murmured, my fingers tracing circles on his palm.

"It doesn't have to," Turstin replied, his voice low and filled with a tenderness that made my heart flutter.

Time seemed to stand still as we sat there, wrapped in each other's arms, the world outside fading into insignificance. In that moment, there was only us, two souls intertwined.

As dawn began to tint the sky with the first blush of morning, we found ourselves standing at the threshold of something beautiful and fragile. Uncertainty lingered in the air, but so did hope—a quiet assurance that whatever lay ahead, we would face it together.

"Stay with me," Turstin whispered, his breath warm against my ear.

I nodded, a smile spreading across my face as I realized that this was where I belonged—in the embrace of the man who had captured my heart.

And so, as the world outside stirred awake, we retreated to the warmth of Turstin's bed, where the hours melted into an endless sea of whispers and kisses, each one a testament to the magic of love found against all odds.

As I laid in his arms, I just kept tracing Turstin's face with my pointer finger lightly.

"What are you doing?" He giggled, kissing my finger when it would begin tracing his mouth.

"Memorizing you." I sighed, smiling softly as I continued.

He returned my smile before placing an arm around my back, pulling me closer. His lips began to press on my neck, I could feel the weight of his body begin to lay on top of me.

I felt a flash of lighting inside of my stomach, shooting around each corner of my body. This was everything I could have hoped for, I finally found my person.

In the quiet of that morning, with the soft light filtering through the curtains, I knew that I had found my home in Turstin's arms. And as we drifted into sleep, tangled together in a cocoon of blankets and dreams, I whispered a silent promise to cherish this love, this precious gift that had transformed my world.

For in the embrace of Turstin's love, I had found not just a partner, but a kindred spirit—a beacon of light to guide me through the uncertainties that lay ahead.
