Everyone seemed to be sleeping peacefully in their bunk beds on the newly found bounty, however, a certain white haired boy was awake. Zane was always an early bird.

The boy got out of his bed, he was grateful that he was on the bottom bunk because he never liked climbing down a ladder when he first woke up. He rubbed his eyes and put on his gi, like every morning.

Zane walked out of his room and headed towards the deck, to see if Sensei was awake. He opened the sliding door and put his foot on the floor before he walked over to the railing where he saw Nya and Wu.

He was just getting used to living on the bounty after the monastery was demolished by the snakes, Zane felt sorry for Wu, knowing that his whole life was destroyed all because of the serpentine.

"The day starts early today," Zane said as he walked over and stood by Wu, prepared to get a wise saying that would motivate him. (It always did.)

The old man turned his head to look at Zane and did in fact say something wise. "A watchful eye never sleeps." The two guys stood there, looking at the sunrise seeing as it was around six in the morning.

Nya on the other hand didn't like the peace and quiet they offered as they had much bigger things on their plate that didn't involve doing nothing. "If you hadn't realized already, Lydia and the Fangpyres pose a threat to Ninjago!"

Wu didn't respond, he continued to stare off into the sun, maybe he was thinking of ways that they could avoid Lydia taking over their city. He turned his head to look at his student and said something that Zane was not expecting.

"Please go check the upper deck and see if anything is wrong."

What? Weren't they supposed to plan how they were going to stop the serpentine? Zane gave a confused glance to Nya but she wasn't paying attention either. Something weird was going on but he decided he should respect sensei's wishes and go check the upper deck.

If something was wrong, why couldn't Sensei check himself? He was much stronger than Zane. Maybe he needed him to check the system since he was always good with technology.

Zane climbed up the ladder to get to the top, doing it rather quickly after stating he didn't like going up and down in the mornings. He made it to the upper deck and stood there shocked to see the Falcon that had guided him to Lydia's treehouse.

"Hello, little buddy. I haven't seen you in a while." He smiled as he went to pick up the bird but it flew away before he could. Where was it going now? Should he follow it?

The boy had his back turned to face the railing, watching the falcon fly away and not doing what he was supposed to do, his mind seemed to halt due to his little bird friend.

Zane only turned his head when he heard a creak behind him, odd because he didn't hear them coming up. He turned around to face whoever it was and was horrified to see that it was none other than Lord Garmadon.

He nearly screamed at the sight of him but he knew he had to be rational and not the opposite like his friend Jay. "How are you here?! You were banished!" Zane yelled as he got into a defensive position.

"I'm here only for the weapons of spinjitzu," Garmadon said as he walked toward the boy in a scary demeanour. "Hand me your shurikens of ice." The man demanded as he stood menacingly in front of Zane.
