Chapter 3 - Affairs?

Chloe had been growing annoyed with Max, he always brought up Charlotte and Tom's relationship, and he had been incredibly distant with her she had no idea why though. That morning she was lying in bed with Max but neither were talking to each other, Chloe decided to text her Mum to ask if she could have Aubree and Isla that night -

Chloe - Can you have Aubree and Isla tonight please? Xx

Mum - Of course, I'd love too have them Xx

Chloe - Thanks, I'll bring them over after lunch Xx

Mum - Sure love Xx

Chloe sighed "problem?" Chloe looked at him "my Mum is having Aubree and Isla tonight" Max nodded "okay" Chloe scoffed and kicked the duvet off.

As it was the weekend Chloe left Aubree and Isla in bed she sat on the sofa and cried. Max came down so Chloe had to hide her tears "hi Mummy" Chloe wiped her eyes "morning baby girl" Aubree came over and sat on the sofa with Chloe "why Daddy not talk?" Chloe shrugged "I don't know baby" Aubree giggled "you love my Daddy?" Chloe noticed Max look over "yeah" Aubree nodded "you love me and Isla?" Chloe grinned "yeah" Aubree climbed onto Chloe's lap and kissed her "I love you Mummy" Chloe smiled "you and Isla are going to Nanny's tonight" Aubree grinned "yay I like Nanny" Chloe grinned.

Aubree was playing outside with Isla so Chloe sat out with them "Mummy Isla being cute" Chloe smiled just as Max came out "Charlotte and Tom appear to have a good relationship" Chloe looked up "so what?" Max smirked "be nice to be like them" Chloe rolled her eyes.

A few hours later Chloe got ready to take Aubree and Isla over to her Mum's "Aubs come on baby" Aubree came running into the hallway "can I take my teddy?" Chloe smiled "course you can" Aubree grinned "yay thank you Mummy".

Arriving at her Mum's Chloe took the girls from the car "Nanny!" Rachel stood on the doorstep "hi love" Chloe smiled "thanks for having them" Rachel grinned "it's fine I love having them" Chloe hugged her Mum "I love you Mum" Rachel was shocked "I love you too darling" Chloe sighed "Chloe is everything okay?" Chloe nodded "yeah I just wanted to say I love you" Rachel smiled "are you gonna come in?" Chloe shook her head "no I need to get back and talk to Max" Rachel frowned "Chloe has he hurt you?" Chloe smiled "no, I just wanna talk to him" Rachel nodded "okay, I'll bring the girls back tomorrow after dinner" Chloe smiled "okay".

Chloe got home and saw Max sitting on the sofa "are they okay?" Chloe nodded "yeah" Max nodded "good" Chloe rolledher eyes and walked into the kitchen with Max behind her "Charlotte and Tom appear to be happy" Chloe turned to him "suppose they are" Max smirked "be nice to be like them" Chloe rolled her eyes "you know something Max, leave me alone" Max frowned as Chloe grabbed her car keys and stormed out the house, Max knew where she was gonna go so he grabbed his keys and went after her.

Pulling up outside Charlotte's house Chloe was fuming, she got out her car and walked up the path. Tom answered the door "Chloe? What's wrong" Chloe barged past Tom and walked in the living room "Chloe?" Chloe glared "you think you have the perfect relationship don't you?" Charlotte frowned "what?" Chloe rolled her eyes "you and Tom, Mr and Mrs perfect" Charlotte frowned "Chloe I" Charlotte couldn't finis as Chloe slapped her. Tom took Chloe out the house.

Max arrived outside Charlotte and Toms where he saw Chloe being held by Tom, he got out the car "what's going on?" Chloe looked at Max "what are you doing here ?" Max smirked "having an affair with him are you?" Chloe frowned "you think that I'm sleeping with him?" Max walked over to Tom and punched him "Max!".

Charlotte couldn't believe that Chloe hated her and she didn't know why. She Max punch Tom and wanted to know what had happened. Charlotte watched as Chloe got in her car and drive off, she saw Max do the same. Tom came in and Charlotte saw his bloody nose "what happened?" Tom sighed "Max thinks Chloe and I are having an affair" Charlotte was shocked "an affair?" Tom nodded "we're not" Charlotte sighed "I believe you, I just hope Chloe is okay".

Chloe went home and ignored the fact that Max was behind her, she walked into the house and upstairs into the bedroom, she fell down onto the bed and started crying. Max walked into the bedroom and saw Chloe crying on the bed "Chloe" Chloe looked up and Max saw the hurt on her face "what?" He sighed "I'm sorry" Chloe scoffed "sorry? You're Sorry! How could you think I was having an affair, let alone with Tom, he's my best friends husband Max" Max sighed again "I know" Chloe stood from the bed "I'd never cheat on you Max, especially not with Tom" Max looked at her "I know, you have before" Chloe felt her eyes water again "thanks Max".

Charlotte knew Tom and Chloe weren't having an affair, she had no idea where Max had gotten that information from. After putting Lillie and Taitlyn to bed Charlotte went to sit on the bed and text Chloe -

Charlotte - I hope you're okay, Tom told me Xx

Chloe - I'm fine, I'm sorry for slapping you Xx

Charlotte - It's okay. See you tomorrow? Xx

Chloe - Yeah Maybe Xx

Charlotte sighed just as Tom came in "are you alright?" Charlotte nodded "yeah, hope Chloe's okay" Tom frowned "she hit you and you still wanna know if she's okay?" Charlotte sighed "she was angry, she said she was sorry" Tom rolled his eyes as he climbed into bed, Charlotte climbed in next to him "I love you Tom" "I love you too" they briefly kissed before falling asleep.

Chloe had spent the night in the bathroom and Max was trying to convince her to come out "Chloe please" Chloe wiped her eyes "I'm giving up Max" Max frowned "what are you saying? You want a divorce" Chloe stood from the toilet seat "I don't want a divorce Max, I love you" Max sighed "then open the door" Chloe reluctantly opened the door "I don't want too ruin what we have" Chloe walked over to Max and kissed him in a rough but passionate kiss, Max pushed her against the wall while still kissing her, Chloe pulled him into the bedroom and over to the bed "wait" Max stopped kissing her "what?" Chloe smiled "is this anger sex or make-up sex?" Max smirked "both" Chloe nodded and Max started kissing her again.

Eddie had been told about Chloe slapping Charlotte so he went over to Chloe and Max's. When he got there the house was in darkness but both cars were there. He knocked the door and Max answered "where's Chloe?" Max smirked "she's unavailable at the moment" Eddie frowned just as Chloe came down wearing Max's shirt "how dare you?" Chloe frowned "what?" Eddie glared "hit Charlotte" Chloe sighed "I said I was sorry, I feel bad" Eddie scoffed "you must feel bad if you're in bed with him" Chloe rolled her eyes "he's my husband, where else am I gonna sleep? Look Eddie if you've come here to start then I suggest you just go" Eddie turned and left.

Chloe and Max went back to bed and Chloe sighed and Max spoke "I love you Chloe" Chloe kissed him "I love you too". A couple hours later they both fell asleep.
