Sebastian POV

As Y/n and I made our way to the Great Hall, a mixture of excitement and nervousness swirled within me. Our stolen moment in the boy's locker room had been both exhilarating and filled with a sense of urgency. We were desperate to keep our relationship a secret, especially from the rest of the school, who might not accept our connection.

As we entered the Great Hall, I caught sight of Ominis and Poppy sitting at a table, engrossed in conversation. Relief washed over me. I knew that dining with Ominis and Poppy would provide us with some much-needed cover. We made our way over to their table, sitting down with a sense of casualness that masked the underlying tension.

"Hey, guys! Mind if we join you?" I asked, attempting to sound nonchalant.

Ominis looked up, a mischievous glint in his eyes. "Of course not! We were just discussing some fascinating theories about ancient runes."

I exchanged a quick glance with Y/n, both of us aware that Ominis was skilled at reading between the lines. We had to be cautious with our words and actions.

We engaged in light conversation, careful to maintain our composure and not give away any hints about the true nature of our relationship. But as Poppy and Y/n excused themselves to get some dessert, Ominis turned his attention toward me, a knowing smile on his face.

"Sebastian, my friend, there's something different about you lately," Ominis said, his voice filled with playful curiosity.

I felt a bead of sweat forming on my brow, but I maintained my cool façade. "Different? I'm not sure what you mean, Ominis."

He leaned in closer, his tone dripping with intrigue. "Oh, come on, Sebastian. You can't fool me. There's a certain sparkle in your eyes, a spring in your step. It's as if you're hiding something exciting."

I chuckled nervously, doing my best to deflect his probing. "Well, I must admit, Ominis, life has been treating me well lately. But you know how it is, just enjoying my studies and the Quidditch matches."

Ominis raised an eyebrow, clearly not convinced. "Your 'studies', huh? Interesting. But tell me, my friend, have you discovered any secrets worth sharing?"

I maintained a poker face, my mind racing for a suitable response. "Secrets? Oh, you know me, Ominis. I'm just focused on my studies and trying to keep my grades up."

Ominis chuckled knowingly, but he didn't press further. "Well, if you say so, my friend. Just remember, I have my ways of uncovering secrets. But for now, let's enjoy this meal together."

Relief washed over me as Y/n and Poppy returned with their desserts, distracting Ominis from his line of questioning. We resumed our conversation, laughing and enjoying each other's company. In that moment, I couldn't help but feel a pang of guilt for keeping our relationship a secret from Ominis. He was my best friend, there were no big secrets between us.

But in this instance, protecting Y/n and our relationship was paramount. We couldn't risk the scrutiny and potential judgment that would come from the school, particularly Damien. I did. want to reveal my relationship with Y/n without her permission and in this settling.

Y/n POV

The music thumped loudly in the Slytherin common room as the party was in full swing. Poppy, Nellie, and Natty pulled me onto the dance floor, and we swayed to the rhythm, laughter and excitement filling the air occasionally taking a break for some Butterbeer. I wore the vibrant green dress that Sebastian had suggested, feeling both elegant and confident in his choice.

I glanced over to the corner where Sebastian and Ominis were engrossed in a conversation, drinks in hand. They seemed to be having a serious discussion, their expressions intense. I wondered what they were talking about but decided to focus on enjoying the night for now.

The dance floor was alive with energy as students swayed to the rhythm of the music, laughter and joy filling the air. I was lost in the moment, enjoying the company of my friends and the exhilarating atmosphere of the celebration. But amidst the revelry, I noticed Damien standing at a distance, his expression solemn and withdrawn.

He is back ?

Feeling a twinge of concern, I excused myself from my friends and made my way over to Damien. He looked up as I approached, his eyes filled with a mix of relief and sorrow.

"Y/n, I... I need to talk to you," he said, his voice trembling with emotion.

I nodded, stepping closer to him, the music and laughter fading into the background. "Of course, Damien. What's on your mind?"

He took a deep breath, gathering his thoughts. "I need to apologize, Y/n. For everything. I should have never dragged you into that mess with the masked guy. It was reckless and dangerous, and I put you in harm's way. I'm so sorry."

As he spoke, I could see the weight of his words pressing down on him. It was evident that he had been carrying this burden for a while, and it was taking a toll on him.

"I appreciate your apology, Damien," I replied gently, "but we were all in that situation together. We made decisions as a team, and we have to take responsibility for our actions. Besides, you were dealing with a family emergency, and that must have been incredibly difficult for you."

Tears welled up in Damien's eyes, but he pushed them back, and he nodded. "Yes, it was. I didn't know who to turn to, and I didn't want to burden anyone with my problems. I felt so alone, and I let my fear and anger drive me. I'm sorry for not being there for you when you were struggling too."

"It's okay, Damien," I reassured him, placing a hand on his shoulder. I understood what he was going trough."We all have our struggles, and sometimes we don't know how to reach out for help. But we can change that now. We have each other and our friends, and we can lean on them for support."

Damien sniffed, wiping away his tears with the back of his hand. "Thank you, Y/n. I don't deserve your forgiveness, but I'm grateful for it."

"We all make mistakes, Damien," I said softly. "What's important is that we learn from them and grow. Let's talk to Professor Weasley, she can maybe help us figure out how to deal with the masked guy and train properly. She was actually the one I turned to when I was going through a rough time. We don't have to face this alone."

Damien looked at me, a mixture of gratitude and determination in his eyes. "You're right. We'll face this together, as a team."

It was a very sentimental and intimate moment that we both hugged each other to comfort one another.
