Thank you for reading! I don't own any of Wednesday! Please let me know if you enjoy! Updates every Saturday!
—————————————————————Wednesday had been raised in a family and so, despite her usual aversion to socializing, she didn't necessarily mind that Xavier's parents chose to linger at the Thorpe mansion during the next few months.
Xavier couldn't help but notice that his darling hadn't once mentioned their wedding during Desmond's first year of life, although they remained as close as ever with one another.
Regardless, he found himself too frightened of chasing Wednesday away to mention the topic directly.
Late one afternoon, while Desmond napped against his mother's chest, Xavier came into the large parlor and sat next to them on the sofa.
Wednesday quietly laid the book down that she had been reading to their son moments ago before she looked over at Xavier and waited for him to speak.
"What do you say we let Mom and Dad have him tonight?" Xavier whispered.
"Why?" She scowled.
"I thought it'd be fun to get out for a little while." He shrugged.
Wednesday's dark lips pursed as she instinctively recoiled at the idea of leaving her home.
"........Nowhere busy." Xavier said quickly to reassure her, "I thought we could go cemetery walking or something, just you and me."
Wednesday's initial aversion seemed to settle as she frowned, "........Alright."
Xavier gave her a gentle smile, but Wednesday just bent down and kissed their baby boy on his head.
She had been raised to be fiercely independent.
Although she intended for her son to know a similar upbringing, the idea of leaving Desmond behind, even for a few hours, was not one she entirely enjoyed.

Mia practically shooed the young couple out of the house later that evening as she gladly took Desmond into her arms and waved goodbye with him from the window as Wednesday and Xavier climbed into his sports car.
The night was clear enough to let the full moon shine down on the road in front of the couple as Xavier's vehicle drove along, through the dark woods that kept the Thorpes' mansion in graceful seclusion.
"What cemetery are we going to?" Wednesday asked as she frowned at the passing scenery.
"Uh, I thought we'd go to Beaker's Hill." Xavier said as he slyly disguised the anxious anticipation in his voice.
"I don't like that one." Wednesday scowled, "The headstones are too new. We always go there because it's close...Let's go to Friends. The graves have history."
"Yeah......" Xavier said as he swallowed his nervousness about their sudden change of plans, "Yeah, that's fine."
As they came to a stop at a red light, he pulled out his phone and hurriedly typed a hasty text message.
"What are you doing?" Wednesday scowled as she glanced down at his lit screen, "You don't text and drive........I've never seen you do that before."
"Sorry, I thought it was Mom." Xavier said as he finished, locked his phone, and looked up at her with a sheepish smile.
Wednesday narrowed her dark eyes to suspicious slits as Xavier drove them through the lonely road as it wound across the river and up onto the hilltop that housed Friends Cemetery.
