Lena's POV

Stefanie is really divine tonight, she's gorgeous, and of course everyone's eyes are on her as we enter the gallery.

"Stefanie, finally you're here! Everyone is very eager to meet you, dear!" Sir Gerald exclaims, pulling Stef for a hug that she gladly welcome. Their relationship makes no sense to me at this point for they piss each other off all the time, but there're sometimes when they are very nice and affectionate to one another, and I can't find out when and why the switch happened.

In any case I was glad that their communication is good, for they're both very honest, so if that works for them, I can only be satisfy.

"Three of your canvas have been sold already Stef." I overheard Sir Gerald whisper into Stef's ear as she pulls away a bit abruptly to look at him as I smile.

"What the hell did you just say?" she can't help asking.

"You heard me. And it's just the beginning, honey." He says smiling, before he looks at me and winks and I return the gesture by smiling at him, for he did a great job.

I can see the people that he invited, and I know some of them, and how influent they are in the art industry. The gallery is well decorated to show off Stef work in the best way possible.

"Come on, I'm going to make an announce to introduce you. You're ready?" Sir Gerald says, as I think he detected that Stef was a bit nervous as I feel her squeeze my hand again, and I squeeze hers back.

"Alright, let's go." She says, trying to sound confident, and I think in some sense she is, she's just not use to be the center of the attention in that way. But I know she can talk since her favorite thing before we got together was to disturb my lessons in a room full of students.

So Sir Gerald makes his announce, and covert Stefanie with compliments, and I think I saw her blush at one point and then she took a deep breath, still holding my hand tightly into her hand, but just before she walked to join Sir Gerald in the front, I let go of her hand, because she has to do this alone, it's her moment and I want her to enjoy the attention because she deserves it. She looked at me a little bit destabilizes, but I smile wide at her and nod to her to go in the front, because she can do this, she doesn't need me for this. And so, she smiled as well, and went to join the older man.

She made a hell of a speech without even having prepared anything, she thanked everyone who has contribute to the soirée, Sir Gerald of course, and even me for supporting her as she said as I can't help but be so damn proud of her. Then, she invited everyone to help themselves to the little buffet and the bar, and come join me right after some applauses.

"You nailed it, babe. You're good at this, speeches and all, I liked it." I compliment as she smiles wide at me.

"Well, I learn some things when I was attending your classes as you can see." She brags, playfully as she got a hold on my hand again.

"I'm sure you did. Now, let's see what you guys choose to expose. You didn't even let me see before." I say softly dragging her along the walls.

"Well, I wanted it to be a surprise for you as well. You would have gotten bord if you had saw everything in advance." She defends skillfully as I know that I can't add anything to that.

"Oh, and just in case the idea comes through your mind, you're not buying anything tonight, you hear me?" Stef says as I gasp, for the idea already crossed my mind.

"Oh honey, come on! What if I loved one, and want it for my house?" I protest as she smiles at me, a bit amused, yet I knew in advance that she isn't bugging on this, unfortunately.
