Milton's Accident

Tessa is awoken in the night as her phone is ringing constantly. "It's 2 am who could possibly be calling me," she says as she answers the phone.

"Hello," she answers as she hears people talking in the background.

"Hey is this Miss Tate," a lady asks over the phone.

"It is," Tessa answers as she can hear beeping noises.

"Hey, this is Dr. Rennings at the UCLA Medical Center. Milton Anthony got into a bad car accident earlier tonight. He said to call you as you were the closest contact he had around. He is in the ICU at the moment but you can visit if you can," she says as Tessa gets scared.

"I'll be down there in just a minute," she tells the doctor as she wakes up Matthew. She rushes to get clothes on as Matthew is lost at what is going on.

"It's 2 am What are you doing," asks Matthew as Tessa is running around.

"Milton got into a bad car accident and is at the hospital," she says as Matthew gets up and gets dressed quickly.

Matthew drives her car as Tessa prays for the best news possible as she doesn't want to lose Milton. "I'm sure he will be ok Milton is a tough guy," says Matthew as he tries to calm her nerves. Tessa sits there as she drowns in her thoughts. First Liam and now she is worrying about losing Milton. It's the one moment where she feels her world crashing down on her.

They arrive at the hospital as the front desk nurses show her to his room. She gets there quickly as Milton is awake and conscious. "Hey there," he says as Tessa shakes her head.

"You had me worry to death," she says as Milton tries not to laugh as it hurts.

"Yeah I gave the doctors a run for their money too," he jokes as Tessa sits down on his bed as she holds his hand.

"How are you feeling," she asks as he points to all the tubes and stuff attached to him.

"I had hospitals, I don't like these wires and tubes. I can't get up to use the bathroom yet so pretty bad," he says as Tessa laughs at him.

"I'm talking about your injuries, not your feelings," she says as Milton aches in pain.

"I've been better that's for sure," he says as he waves at Matthew.

"I'll go get you some coffee babe," says Matthew as he gives them a moment alone.

"I know they dragged you down here but you better scram soon Liam is going to be here," he says as Tessa doesn't care about that right now.

"Are you sure you're ok," she asks as he assures her he will be ok.

"Yeah but while you're here and I can have you feeling remorse for me let me make a suggestion. Talk to Liam, I know you've been battling with your feelings since he has been gone," he says to her as he hopes they talk.

"So much has happened I don't even know where I would start," she says as Milton guides her.

"Right here," he says as he points to her heart.

"That thing is still undecided," she says as Milton lets her in on some difficult but true advice.

"It's still undecided because part of it is broken. I don't want to be the bearer of bad news but it isn't going to heal until you deal with that broken piece. I know you two had a falling out but neither of you are as happy without the other," he says as Tessa tells him about the flowers.

"He sent the flowers," she says as Milton smiles.

"I know," he informs her as he already knew. Tessa smiles as she had no idea. "He told me to make sure every single one of them made it there."

Tessa looks out the window as she sees the police escort show up. "Well I guess that's my cure for now," she says as she watches Liam get out car as they guide him inside.

"Here's your coffee sweet girl," says Matthew as he returns. "I would've got you one too Milton but I don't know if the doctors want you drinking coffee.

"I'll kick whoever's ass tries to stop me," jokes Milton as Tessa kisses his hand.

"We are going to go I'll call you later and check on you," she says as she walks towards the door.

"I love you kid never forget," he says as she smiles.

They get into the elevator and close the door right as Liam walks out of the elevator beside them. He rushes over to Milton's room as he shakes his head.

"You have no right to do that to me," he says as Milton laughs. "I canceled my show and everything," says Liam as Milton puts his hands up.

"You didn't have to do that," insist Milton as Liam pulls up a chair.

"Bullshit old man, you are going to die on my watch he says as Milton hurts from laughing.

"You just missed your best friend," says Milton as Liam looks out the door.

"Who Tessa," questions Liam.

"No Matthew," Milton burst out laughing as Liam tries not to laugh.

"I should tell them to pull the plugs on you," jokes Liam as Milton is all smiles.

"It's good to see you. I don't remember the last time I have seen you both on the same day," says Milton as Liam agrees.

"How is she holding up," Liam asks as Milton gives him the same lecture he gave her.

"How about you ask her yourself," he says as Liam gives him the look.

"You know it's not that easy," Liam informs him as Milton disagrees.

"I think both of you are just fighting your feelings. You both won't fight for each other but you will stay hurting. You haven't even released that song yet," says Milton as Liam looks up at him.

"You know when I release it the world will know. All our fans will know who it is about and I'll be questioned about it every day for the next year," he says as Milton agrees.

"You love her don't you," Milton asks boldly as Liam looks up.

"I think I've been in love with her since London," says Liam as Milton wasn't expecting it to be that long.

"Well you still are aren't you," asks Milton.

"I'll always love her," says Liam as Milton tells him the same thing he told Tessa.

"Then stop living with a broken heart and tell her. You know I love you both and I'm the only one who can tell you both this," says Milton. "You two haven't been the same since you went your separate ways and I know you've both made the wrong choice then," he tells him as Liam agrees.

"I don't know how to express my feelings to her now," he says as Milton looks at him as he knows.

"Release the song," states Milton as Liam doesn't know if he should or not.

The next day Tessa helps Matthew pack his things as he prepares to return home. "You be safe and have a good flight back home.

"You have fun with your parents and keep me updated on Milton," says Matthew as he carries his stuff to the car.
