It was one of those nights. Cold, quiet, and the people fading away to unconsciousness. Red trees swayed with the whispering wind, as if telling secrets that shouldn't be known.

Enzo's eyes widened in disbelief. Something you said made him stumble back in surprised.

"I know you saw me in my beast form," I said, my voice a little croaked from crying, trying to lighten myself.

"Oh, yeah, uhm," He looked frantically around, as if trying to find an excuse, he departed his mouth to say something but then refrained himself, like if he said something wrong he would get killed.

"And, I need to talk to you about it." I said sternly. Standing up, the images of the owl beast dizzily swirled in my mind. Feeling weak on my knees, I almost stumbled down. If it weren't for Enzo's on instinct grip on my shoulder, I would've already been on the floor.

The cold and heavy breeze fills the air and around the deep white snow. It felt like we were standing on an iceberg. It felt cold and excruciatingly freezing, I was glad to bring everything I needed to be warm. The knee area would usually be cold, but this time, it was colder than usual because it was midnight

We landed on the knee. Enzo quickly sat off and lifted his hand just high enough for me to reach. I softly took his hand to get off of his staff and quickly dusted myself.

Awkward silence swirled between us as we walked off to a nearby cliff, high enough to see the head of the titan, high enough to see the beauty of the boiling isles.

I sat down and clawed my fingers in the white snow. Enzo sat down after I did with a hint of nervousness, as if trying to find an excuse or trying to prove something he didn't do.

"Could you please," I began, with sweat falling down my forhead to my white cold pale cheeks and onto the pure white snow. "Not tell anyone?" My voice begged unseemingly. It sounded to beg, but my eyes say otherwise. His eyes sparkled under the stars, shimmering into the unknown.

"If the emperor found out about this," I said slightly, whispering, with panick eating my stomach. I lifted my cold knees to my chest, heat starting to grow, and wrapped it around with my hands, burying my face in it. Like electricity, guilt and panick surged in my veins like venom spreading everywhere.

Enzo looked at my state, a feeling he had never felt before, fear. He looked like he had unlocked a new fear, and even in my state, he didn't know what to do or to say. He looked like he did something. Something vile and sickened, as if it was his fault.

"Enzo?" My voice whispered innocently and muffled, trying to hide the fear inside me. I fear Enzo would find my beast form in the wrong and scary way, I didn't want this, I never wanted him to see me like that. What if he would betray me.

"Uhm, uh," His words stumbled out of his mouth like pebbles falling on a well that would echoe. His eyes were full of something I couldn't name, something that I hadn't seen before.

"Of course, I would never tell anyone as you would wish." He finally said, exhaling like a heavy weight just lifted off of his shoulders, his words sincere and so defensive. Was he finding something from me? Was it something that bad?

"Enzo, are you okay?" I finally let out my worried voice out, turning my head to his direction, staring at his eye deeply with concern written all over my face. I couldn't just let him go without even asking what's wrong. A silence of awkwardness waved around us both like the ocean, and I could feel that he wanted to get out of this situation.

"Why - why do you say that? I'm fine, of course I am," He said, his voice sounding really defensive and starting to sound aggressive. An eerie feeling wept in my stomach. "Enzo, c'mon, you know you can tell me just about anything, really," I said, sounding optimistic and my voice in a reassuring tone. I slowly formed a smile on my face, plastering it.

Abruptly, he stood up in anger and turned his body away from me. He looked like rage was about to hit him in the stomach, and in a matter of seconds, he let out a chilly exhale, his lungs relieved to finally be freed from that excruciating, cold, and claustrophobic state.

I lifted myself off of the snow and, to my feet, dusting some snow that had fallen down to my ripped deranged and crumbled skirt. I raised and rested my hand on his shoulder, gesturing the reassurance he needed. "Really, Mariah, I'm FINE." He said harshly, his tone low and enraged, gently smacking my hand off of his shoulder. Trying to calm himself down, I could tell behind that harsh tone and low voice that he was finding something.

"No, Enzo, I've known you since childhood, I can tell when you are upset about something," my voice softened, trying to pry open his state of strength. His way of showing that he's brave and had always been.

"You know what, Mariah?" He turned to me, his body trembling in fear or maybe from the coldness, his voice full of anger that had never met his mouth. Fear and anger filled his eyes. His gaze softened like a little white bunny playing on the snow, turning away from me, as if ashamed.

"You," He let out a sigh, a sigh that carried many burdens behind it. "Should just go home, Mariah," He requested gently, his face melting into the gentleness of a little fawn.

I let out an annoyed huff, cold breeze crashes on my skin. Feeling the eerily cold rush, my body shuddered against my will. "But - " I wanted to say something that's been desperately trying to get out of my gut, but it felt like something was stopping me from letting it out.

"Mariah," Enzo warned me, his voice firm and trembling, "Go home, please. And get sleep." Enzo turned to me and handed me, Stellar, in her wooden form. She looked so peaceful with no hatred for anyone.

Silence whoosh above us thickening the atmosphere, there was this eerie silence. I turned to Stellar in my hand, and now, in her normal form, a black substance of liquid covered Stellar from head to toe until she turned into a staff.

A whooshing sound of wind caused Enzo to stumble a little, Mariah had flown away in anger with Stellar, having the desire to never see or talk to Enzo ever again. They knew he was hiding something big and bad, but he wouldn't wanna talk about it.

"I'm sorry, Mariah, but I can't tell you. Not right now at least."
