"That can still be arranged." Enzo calmly added, but his voice seemed thick on betrayal and anger. He looked, or rather, seemed like he was holding back words he shouldn't say.
"Hellos, criminals." Hunter mischievously grinned at us three while Enzo kept staring at me. I don't know if he was really staring at me, but it does seem like it. And it seems like he isn't too happy with me hanging with criminals.
"What's about to happen should be relatively painless," Hunter explained in a knowing way. On his left, a cage with a purple blanket covering the inside and on his right is his red staff. An artificial staff.
"If you just do what we say." Enzo sneered. He walked one stepped closer to us, his voice directed to us three in an attempt of intimidation.
On the corner of my eye, Luz' eyebrows frowned in anger. "And why would we do that?" She questioned angrily. She stepped even a little bit closer. Something in my stomach swarmed around, telling me that it's hungry.
Stellar slithered around my neck, feeling the sense of something wrong. Stellar immediately hid behind my thick, shoulder-length hair, lemon colored hair.
Enzo and Hunter looked at each other for a brief moment, then looked at us. "Because none of you can use real magic," Hunter remarked, looking at us up and down.
"Except for them." Enzo muttered, but I heard him. I'm just not sure if the others did.
"You don't know that!" Eda angrily exclaimed. "Maybe not," Hunter looked down to our feet, "But I do know that you're standing on a plant that eats flesh." Enzo smuggly pointed out. His expression is unknown to broad daylight.
Just then, like perfect timing, smoke appeared under our feet, and our feet felt like heat filling in the warmth of the sand. We immediately jumped off the plant and yelled out "oh" and "ah." calming the heat down.
"Okay, okay," Enzo announced, trying to put out his laughter to appear more serious. "The humans will remain sailors to pay off the money they lost, and the owl lady will be arrested," Enzo playfully stated. "Again." Hunter added after his sentence, "for attacking the Emperor's ship." Hunter added again, but this time, his voice is thinning on anger.
Luz turned to Eda with her face unreadable. "Emperor's ship?" Luz' voice questioned in sadness as her eyebrows dropped, realizing that Eda tried to steal from the emperor to make sure she was well-fed.
"They're the only ones worth robbing." Eda turned away in guilt, her voice seems thick on lies to trick Luz. I looked at them. They really do look like a family.
"Why are you guys hunting the Selkidomus?" Eda fumed as she pointed to them. Her eyes glared at the two iconic duo. "It's a peaceful creature, and you're provoking it." She added.
"The emperor ordered us to slay one."Enzo explained, over looking me. "We're just following orders." Hunter sincerely added.
Eda's eyebrows furrowed in anger, "Well, I'm just gonna smack you around!" She said as she took her hand off while trying to smack the golden guard, to which he skillfully dodged her meaningless attacks.
I saw Luz, who took some paper with the symbols from her pockets, and fire it at Enzo and Hunter. "Leave Eda alone!" She exclaimed, anger filling her voice as well as her eyes.
Enzo sighed as he dodged Luz' attacks making her fall and trip next to Eda as I just awkwardly looked at them, feeling the sense of being forgotten. I felt a little bit envious that they had Enzo's attention.
"How about," Enzo lifted his staff to the ocean baby blue sky and lifted the sand under Eda and Luz. Before we knew it, they were already on the sea, just the sand preventing them from getting burnt.
