piloting of the Evas to fourteen year olds'' Ritsuko was running numbers on the Magi computers ''I wouldn't be surprised if at one point she gives up and runs.''

''Yeah, maybe'' Kaji rested his head on the wall, he threw the cigarette butt on the trash ''if she ever does'' he pauses, making Ritsuko turn around and make eye contact ''would you leave her alone?'' her answer went unsaid between them, they both agreed that it was dumb of him to ask right there, with how closed they are monitored.

''So, she called?''

''Yup, she's having some classmates over, last I checked on them, she was explaining them how the mitochondria works.''

Ritsuko chuckled at that ''How simple, it's cute.''

''I'm happy she can do normal teenager stuff, as basic as it is like studying with boys from school.''

''Boys! You let her have boys over, are you crazy?''

''It's okay Rit, I made sure to tell them that there's cameras that I'm checking so often, they ain't going to try anything with her.''

''Yeah they better not'' Ritsuko pulled out her phone, typing on it, Kaji looked confused, she almost never uses it.

''What are you doing Rit?''

''Calling her!'' she put her phone on her ear ''they are teenagers, hormones makes them crazy at that age! Do they even have sex ed. at their school?'' It was hilarious to Kaji how much Ritsuko was ranting, but it did bring the question on whether or not Rei-chan has had The Talk; he will nope out of that one and leave it to Ritsuko since she seems to be the one invested on this tangent.

''Hello?'' Rei answered on the third ring.

''Ikari-san'' Ritsuko started, completely composed ''I wanted to check if you can come by first thing tomorrow that it's Saturday, I want to run some analysis for the Eva''

''Yes of course Dr. Akagi! I'll be there'' her enthusiasm made Ritsuko smile to herself.

''Alright, it's getting late, make sure to eat dinner and go to sleep, alright?''

''Um, is, is Kaji-san going to be done soon?'' aww, how cute she's so shy, Ritsuko though.

''Yeah, he'll be there in a bit.''

With that the phone call ended and Ritsuko could only stare at it. She turned to Kaji who was looking at her with a smug smirk, she glared at him ''not a word, take out the screen.''

Kaji, not wanting to test an irritaded Ritsuko, did as told and the feed from inside the house came up. Rei already knows that the security cameras are there and being checked every so often, he assured her that on the first day that the only places not monitored by him are the rooms and the bathroom. The camera feed showed her and her class mates picking up their stuff and getting ready to leave.

''See? Completely innocent.''

''Quiet, they are taking a long time in my opinion.''

''You worry too much.''

''And you too little.''

''Too little doesn't check every forty minutes or so that everything is fine.''

''That's fair, I guess.'' All the kids were at the door already.

''Then, see you at school on Monday?'' That would be the Aida boy, average grades but fairly good sync scores.
