Jax and Chibbs walked out of the house and spotted me sitting at the lake. Jax smiled and lightly pushed Chibbs before walking off back to the other house where he would be staying. Chibbs walked down to the edge where I was sat and carefully sat down next to me picking at the grass as he stared out at the setting sun. I couldn't look at him too afraid of the hurt I would feel of him leaving. I could see out of the corner of my eye that he was struggling to put the words together for what he wanted to say, but I stayed silent. "I'm sorry Lass, for all of it," he said quietly. I've known him for years and never once have I ever heard him apologize. I looked at him a little stunned and I couldn't find words to reply. When he finally looked at me, scared of my silence, I could see the regret deep in his eyes. He gently placed his hand on the side of my face and I felt it there. Beneath all the anger, all the sadness, all the fear, all the pain, I could feel it, something I hadn't truly felt ever before. A tear fell from my eye closest to his hand and I felt his thumb swipe across my skin, sending sparks, as he wiped the tear away. When I opened my eyes again, his face was inches from mine and I sucked in a breath just as he crashed his lips to mine. Like the first kiss we shared on the beach this one sent fireworks in my minds eye. Before I could stop myself I threw a leg over him and straddled his lap, both my hands on each side of his face, keeping our lips connected. One of his hands moved up to almost cradle my head as he held me to him. His other hand went to my hip and gripped tightly, causing me to moan into his lips and opening my mouth slightly. He took advantage and slipped his tongue into my mouth and starting the battle of dominance. He easily won, gripping me tighter and moving to his knees to slowly stand up, never breaking our kiss. He carried me into the house, going straight for my room. The kiss broke when he tossed me down on to the bed, but he moved quickly back to my lips as he leaned down over me. He had one arm resting on the bed to hold him up and the other on my face as he unintentionally grinded into me, eliciting another moan from me. We separated, both needing to catch our breath and he looked down at me almost as if asking for permission. Immediately he was attached to my neck, forcing noises from me that drove him wild when he saw the look I was giving him.
It was well in to the night when we were finally laying there, my head on his chest, listening to the sound of his heart beat. The only light was what the moon cast through the windows. He had one arm wrapped around me with his hand resting on my hip and the other was rested under his head. We laid there in a comfortable silence just basking in the moonlit glow around us. "Are you still leaving?" I asked hoping maybe I misunderstood what was happening earlier. Chibbs felt the sting of guilt knowing I just needed reassurance right now. He moved us so he could look at me, wanting me to know he meant it. "I'm never leavin your side Lass, never," he said before kissing me softly and pulling me back in to his side. I let out the breath I had been holding and sighed as I closed my eyes and let the sound of his heart lull me into a peaceful sleep. He wasn't far behind and just as I slipped into darkness I swore I heard him whisper an I love you as we both drifted off to sleep. I woke to the sunlight beaming in on me and the smell of food coming from the kitchen. I could hear whispers and giggled at how it sounded like someone was pestering someone leading me to believe Shuri was here. I made my way out of bed slipping on a pair of short shorts and grabbing the first shirt I could find which just happened to be one of Chibbs'. After going to the bathroom I made my way down the hall and clearing my throat, giggling when I could hear the shushes and hushed voices. I walked by everyone to the fridge calling out a good morning with a big smile on my face. Shuri was in fact there with Ramonda, T'Challa, Gemma, Jax, and Opie. They all just watched me as I got the orange juice out and a glass pouring some for myself. Chibbs was frozen in place, immediately recognizing the shirt I was wearing. I walked over by him and jumped up on the counter next to the stove where he was cooking. I crossed my ankles and took a drink before finally looking at him. "Hey Chibbs," I said sweetly still smiling, knowing exactly what I was doing to him. "Lass," he replied almost with a hint of warning. I leaned in closer to him and smiled like a Cheshire cat. "Your eggs are burning," I said leaning back and reaching for an apple on the counter next to me and taking a bite. I heard a low growl as he quickly went back to the eggs and looked over to the others trying not to lose it. Of course Jax being who he is immediately opened his big mouth. "Oh Thank god, its about time now things won't feel so tense around you two at the club house," he said dramatically, making a little bit fun of me. I blushed crimson and a rag quickly flew towards him and Ma smacked him up the back of the head.
