It had been several weeks and I had finally set back into a routine. I decided I wanted to move out of the club house now that things were settling down and started looking for houses around town, particularly ones that were close to the club house. Chibbs had found me looking at houses one day and he started to panic until I told him I wanted him to move with me. That conversation had ended with him taking me bent over my desk once the garage was empty. There was still the threat of Hydra out there and other people, but Jamie made me promise to just try and live a normal life. Well as normal as I could with who my family was. I was walking out of the garage one night and a party had started when I found Chibbs with a crow eater all over him. I could see plainly he was pushing her away, but the dumb slut wouldn't take a hint. I collected my head and started walking towards them reminding myself to watch my strength and not to use my metal hand. Chibbs started smirking as he watched me make my way over to them and I startled the crow eater when I tapped her on her shoulder. She turned and and shot me a glare when she saw me. "I think its in your best interest to move on now," I said staring back at her with the same glare. She scoffed and smirked at me. I realized I hadn't seen her around before and that she had no clue who I was. I looked down at Chibbs and he gave me a nod. "Look, don't be jealous ok, go find you another son to have some fun with, although I don't know who would have fun with a one armed grease monkey," the girl said and that's when everyone noticed I had taken my metal arm off. Jax walked over seeing the interaction with Clay and they stood back to see what I would do. Ma joined them with Jamie who had just arrived watching as I took a step towards her before turning my back to her, now exposing that I was wearing a Kutte. "Whose crow do you see on this Kutte?" I asked bringing her attention to the crow on the back. Her eyes went wide as she realized it was Chibbs'. She started stuttering over her words and the rest of the crow eaters gathered around as well. "You can't wear that, that's that's," she stuttered not able to form words in her confusion. Everyone knew the sons normally didn't let anyone wear their Kuttes. All anyone saw was a blur before I grabbed the woman by her throat and brought her inches from my face, squeezing to cut off her air. "Crow or not I am his Ol' Lady and you are nothing but a gash, if I ever see you come near him again, I'll cut up that pretty face of yours," I said quietly, but in the silence everyone heard me. "And just so its clear she is the SAMCRO princess and none of you better forget it," Ma said from where she stood, getting nods from everyone. I dropped the woman and walked over to Chibbs, holding out my hand to him.
He took it and stood up before we made our way to the back with Happy. I hadn't noticed Jamie there, but he hung back waiting to make himself known, unsure how he felt about how I had reacted to the crow eater. Jax motioned for him to follow, explaining I would be back out in a minute. "What are they doing?" Jamie asked once the three of us had disappeared down the hall to the dorms. Jax chuckled a little, "They're going to do a tattoo, she's getting Chibbs' crow. Something special we do with our Ol' Ladies." At that moment Tara walked up showcasing the crow tattoo she had on her bicep with Jax's name in it. Ma went up to Clay and kissed him and as she stretched, Jamie could see the Crow on her lower back. I had told him stories of my family and about the different traditions we had in the club, but he never thought I would do something like that with anyone. A few hours later I came out with a fresh tattoo on my chest, a crow wrapped in a vine of thorns and flowers with knuts scattered through out the vine. A banner wrapped around its wing with a name of Telford on it. I saw Jamie and walked over giving him a hug and said hello. "What are you doing here?" I asked, but I could see a different look in his eyes. "We need to talk," he said grabbing my arm and pulling me outside. Chibbs could see something was wrong, so he followed, but he hung back giving us space to talk. "What's going on with you?" he asked not liking the danger he felt with me being in this world. I looked at him confused with half a smirk, "What do you mean?" He shook his head and motioned back towards the clubhouse. "The girl I know wouldn't threaten someone like that for simply hanging on her man, the girl I know wouldn't put a tattoo like that on herself," he said and I could see the anger in his face. This wasn't something he was used to and a side of me he didn't know. "Jamie, its different here and when it comes to those women if you don't put your foot down they won't stop. I got the tattoo because he asked, because he loves me for all of me and I love him," I said with tears threatening to fall as I felt judged and looked down on. Jamie shook his head and looked at me with anger and worry. "I don't even know you anymore," he said as he looked down with his hands on his hips, "The girl I know wouldn't stoop this low." I shook my head as I tried to fight back the sobs. Chibbs started to move towards me, seeing the tears on my face. "Well the girl you knew died, she died when she couldn't stop her best friend and sister from throwing herself off that cliff, she died when Hydra ripped her son out of her and killed him, she died when Tony snapped his fingers, she died when Steve pulled his bullshit with Sharon, the girl you knew," I said as I stepped closer to him, "is gone and isn't coming back and if you can't accept that, then you need to leave."
I ran to Chibbs who wrapped me in his arms as I broke, feeling so much hurt from the person I thought would understand me and cared about me unconditionally. Ma walked over as Chibbs led me back inside and slapped Jamie across the face. "That girl has sacrificed everything to help you and the rest of the world, how dare you talk to her like that?" she said shaking with anger as she hit him again, this time punching him. Jamie looked down with shame as Ma walked inside to go help Chibbs comfort me and Jax walked up next to him. "Ya know, just cause we don't save the world or even do anything that would necessarily be legal, we aren't bad people," Jax said playing with something in his hands as he looked at Jamie. Jamie looked up at him and Jax could see he regretted the interaction we had. "You really want her here in this life?" Jamie asked trying to get Jax to understand where he was coming from. Jax thought for a moment before shaking his head, "No, but at least here I know we won't let her keep sacrificing more and more until she literally has nothing left but her life, for people who will never appreciate who she is willing to be for them." Jax walked away at that point leaving Jamie to think about what he had said. Jamie knew he was right, here they would be able to protect her from just about anything and they won't let her do anything that could potentially risk her life. Jamie sighed and got on his bike and left to go stay in a hotel tonight to give me time to cool off and for him to figure out how he was going to apologize for his impulsive behavior.
Back in the club house I was curled up with Chibbs angry and hurt that tonight was ruined. I was getting Chibbs' crow and tonight was supposed to be about celebrating that, but the interaction with Jamie on top of the crow eater had killed my mood. Once I was calm and breathing normal, Chibbs kept holding me and stroking my back. "Ya know he's just worried about you right?" Chibbs asked hoping to help fix what just happened. He knew not having Jamie in my life wasn't going to work. He was a brother to me as much as Jax was despite us not being blood. He knew he was going to have to have a talk with Jamie about what happened as well, but wanted to wait to see what I would do before he said anything. I snuggled into him whispering I know as he held me tighter, then noticing my mom in the door way. He silently nodded at her before she walked back out leaving us alone. We fell asleep together and the next day I got myself ready to talk to Jamie. Depending on how he acted I knew I could possibly lose a brother today. After getting ready and per our routine, since Chibbs had no where to go today he placed his Kutte on my shoulders knowing how safe it made me feel just having it on. We walked out into the bar and I found Jamie sitting at the bar next to Jax. I caught his eye as I walked past and he got up following me outside. We both sat at the picnic table and just stared at each other in silence. "I'm sorry," Jamie said not able to meet my eyes from the guilt he felt, "I know you're not the same girl you used to be, how could you be, I got worried and scared that I was losing you." I smiled a little before getting up and quickly hugging him tightly. Chibbs and Jax watched us from a distance, knowing that all was going to be forgiven and that if I could so could they. Chibbs still felt a little anger about how Jamie spoke to me and would make it clear once we had cleared the air that it would not be tolerated again. "Jamie, there is nothing in the universe's that could make you lose me, not even death and you know it," I said as I lifted his face to meet my eyes. I could see him fighting back tears as I placed a hand on his cheek. I looked over at Chibbs and he nodded knowing what I wanted to do. "Come on, lets go for a ride," I said as I stood up holding out my hand. He took it and walked us over to his bike, helping me get on and put a helmet on. Some of the guys started to protest, but one looke from Chibbs, shut them up pretty quick. We rode off and asa soon as I started giving directions he knew where I was going. I held on as we sped down the highway heading towards Chibbs' spot. I had been secretly working on something while pretending to look for houses and it was finally done. We took the turn down the road that led to the beach and as we pulled up I saw Jamie looking proudly out at the beach. He looked down and smiled at me, making me fill up with pride as he kept that same proud look on his face.
